Anyone heard how the new coach is working out with the offense? Where are all the cardinal peeps anyway?

I can't wait for week 1 when E-E and Harlingen High meet up for their first ever meeting. I like both teams decision to face each other during non-district as it should prepare both teams for the post season. I hope that this match up will continue for years to come and maybe become a rivalry.

Be weary what you wish for. Just a guess but I think this is Harlingen's year. Finally, finally, they have Murphy at QB and working with an OC who understands what it's about. From what I understand, that defense will be a power house by itself.

I think that defense is going to be very, very good. Coach Gomez always finds a way to make those kids play with so much intensity and pride. I am curious to know how the offense is going to be and it should be interesting to see har/p.i and har/e.e play in the scrimmage and preseason. Great scheduling by those coaches. It can only help all the kids get better.

All I can say is they were beasts last year. I think they have a bunch of starters returning. Not sure one that.

It would be a great disappointment if we were to schedule a powerhouse like Harlingen High during their down-year. Win or Lose, E-E will leave a better team.

Same goes for Harlingen. The Cards have P.I, Mchi and EE early on. Harlingen will only get better by playing those games. Tough, tough schedule.

I really wanted to see the cards and lf go at it. A rematch of that bi district match up, not too mention a few coaches on the cards sidelines that used to be at lf. Would of been mighty interesting ..

We have a really good schedule though. Too many good games to fit them all in.

It would be a good one but it is going to be a long, tough season. I can't wait for football to start. It is going to be good when it finally does.

Harlingen should be tough....if the kids can grasp that new offensive scheme which im sure they can cause harlingen always ran a multiple offense they should be aight...
