hopefully the brownsville schools start to show something...otherwise youll get more preperation from your preseason schedule than your district schedule..

my jv guys beat psja memorial this past wednesday. north is always tough though. a friend of mine has a son that graduated from there a few years ago, he says this class has size and speed to play with anyone around here. they should be ok.

I heard their running backs are killer. I don't remember who they were though from last year.

Its usually the psja bears that have killer running backs, i think psja north lost alot to graduation. Even then it was their defense that got them some tough wins this past season, their offense was inconsistent. Defense for north should be pretty good, they usually always have a tough D, but its the offense that has a ?. Whos going to be the qb over there for north?

yea psja n struggled last year cause they went to a diff offense....defense is always tough like mentioned above but who knows about the offense...the year before though they were solid on both sides of the ball not sure why they decided to change....

did they get a new coach last year? i believe the paper did a story about them changing offenses. it's true sometimes you need a change, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I don't really know anything about them. Just some people telling me they should be really good this year. Then again, everyone thinks their team is going to be good this year.

I was coach by coach Gomez. i like his style of coaching. and there this one story that he told us before kickoff started the day of the east/west all-star game. that story should get the kids going.

This story Coach Gomez from Harlingen told us before kick off. its about a mouse that goes by 3 house. he knock on the first door and ask the first mouse. how tough are you? the mouse tells him. I take 5 poison rat pellets with some coffee. the mouse tells him dame your tough. he go to the 2nd house and knocks on the door. how tough are you? the mouse tells him i bench press the mouse trap 20 time. the mouse tells him dame your tough. the goes to the 3rd house and knocks on the door. he ask the mouse how tough are you? the mouse closes the door and leaves. the mouse ask him where are you going? the mouse response. I'm gonna go bang me a cat. |

did they get a new coach last year? i believe the paper did a story about them changing offenses. it's true sometimes you need a change, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. they had and still have the same HC Garcia.. they were 11-1 in 2006 PSJA North has made the playoffs 5 out of the last 7 years... went two rounds in 06 and went 3 rounds in 03 losing to SA O Connor by 7 i believe... there a solid ball club... |
