Dude, if this matchup happens, I think it might be the best battle yet... and that is saying alot Unfortunately, I don't think it will happen unless enrollments change pretty seriously. LF should be going little school and Harlingen should be going big school. I was wondering about that

Don't know anything about that but that news about maybe not playing you in the playoffs sux. I was really looking forward to that possibly happening. We really have to try to get LF back on the schedule.

Yea I know. That game is gonna be huge. If Harlingen doesn't win, we will never hear the end of it and if EE loses, they will continue to hear the 4A doesn't match up with 5a crap.

Im looking foward to the E-E game also but the cards first game against Mc Hi should be a close game. The little ive heard early the bulldogs might have one of the best teams in the valley this year. The cardinals are good at losing their season openers. Should be a good year but right now nobody knows which team will roll. On paper the cards should be improved from last year. The E-E game is second after mcallen in harlingen so cardinals should be ready for this home opener. The next week its san benito for the first time in their new stadium. After that they take a week off and then start district play against edinburg north at home. Im predicting a 3-0 start and good luck to the 2008 harlingen cardinals. Hey redbird thanks for the mention, i will be here supporting the cards.

Although I like to see my team bury their opponents (and not get buried), the sports fan in me hope it's a good game all the way through!

I know that Harlingen plays Mchi first and it should be a great game also. It is just that with two teams from their district that are well known and have good programs, it is just hard to not think of that game as the one I won't miss. They have never played before and even though mchi is gonna be good and the san benny game is ALWAYS huge, I think this one takes the cake in this years preseason.

Yep i agree about mchi, i see them taking the 30 5A crown. And that mchi/harlingen game will be a true test for both teams right off the bat. Actually wouldn't mind catching that game, but instead i'm gonna wait for the cards/ee game the following week.
