Congrats to the Patriots for the win, and to all the participants.
Also, congratulations to the organizers for seeing this Bowl through after all the previous postponements and the knowledge that some would probably not show...
Great job by all!

don't you mean "if you had gone you might've seen it" ?? if i would've taken my team, we would've won the whole damn thing, but we had a prior engagement we had to get to......namely, beating the pants off of both weslaco east teams. i wish i knew why the varsity team didn't go........i was disappointed myself to tell you the truth.

Did your team give them back their pants or did they take it as a trophy?
I overheard Solis saying that he was a little disappointed because he a verbal confirmation that they were going. Guess something big must have interfered w/ the trip.

yeah, up until yesterday the players were pretty excited about going. the decision not to go might've came from the fact that 1, they hadn't practiced (as far as i know) since they got back from state, and 2, how they played at state.......either way, the still should've shown up considering they had said they would go if it was rescheduled. i'm pretty sure it was a good reason and not any of the 2 reasons i gave.....

WP, why are you disappointed? Just like yourself, people have previous committments. Me personally, I had taken to many days off already and with the opening of our new office and season ticket sales beginning, I couldn't take the day off.
Coach Brandon and Coach Joe were notified two days prior. I have nothing but respect for them and would not leave them hanging.
Also, I was under the impression you guys were taking our spot.

WP, how did we play at state? What do you mean by that?
We beat Round Rock Stony Point, we lost to Baytown Lee 20-13 (our defense holding them to 20 points is pretty damn good), and we lost to Plano West 35-34 (opting to go for two with no time on clock) if we win that game we win the whole damn pool.
So exactly how did we play?

slow down morris....i was talking about some of the comments that the players made to me when i was practicing the other day. you know i'm not trying to put anyone down. they thought they didn't play that well and some were saying they didn't think they were going to play anymore games because of that......talk about getting the wires crossed. i thought since there were no more games except this one that you guys were gonna take it. which would leave you with, according to some of the players, the super bowl, and some games that are supposed to happen at dodge arena.....oh well, the bottom line is that EE lost and that's all that's important. when are the workouts starting morris?

hey man i understand, but you know i'm not ever gonna put them down.....i figured it was because of your, and the parent's schedules at work that you guys didn't go, but the issue with their performance at state and no practice came up when i asked a few of the guys about the super bowl yesterday at our games at east.....

Hey, elprofe, you can park at my house. I live about 3 blocks from the stadium. From my street you can walk up to the bridge that takes you across 77 SS. During the Battle of the Arroyo, Greyhound fans park past my house.

oh well, the bottom line is that EE lost and that's all that's important. Wow! I didn't know you were obsessed with the fact that the Jackets lost. You must really be a true Jacket hater. But that's cool we lost just like Weslaco has been during the entire 7 on 7 season to La Maquina. Everybody knows who the best team is including yourself and thats E-E.

Nice to see Manny Menchaca and Roger Garcia greeted with open arm by the E-E players and Fans. Both are good kids. Good Luck guys this coming year. And just remember ONCE A JACKET ALWAYS A JACKET NO MATTER WHAT SHIRT YOU WEAR WHEN YOU PLAY.
