I just spoke w/ Cosme Jones. The Tigers will not be competing in this tourney today. After all the trash talk about Mercedes wanting E-E all year I guess in the end the Tigers are just to scared to show up. |

Game 2 Edinburg 33 Lyford 26
Game 3 EE 54 Edinburg 14
There wasn't a third game for this pool for these teams because Mercedes was a no show. I guess they didn't want any piece of La Maquina!

Due to previous committments, I was not able to stay long at the "Superbowl", but I was impressed with what I saw. All the teams looked great! Also, the "Black Hole," is looking good. The grass is looking alot nicer and the new scoreboard was fantastic! Of course the new board is not as nice as those at other stadiums in the area, but nevertheless I was mpressed. Before I made it to the stadium I thought the scoreboard's functions were limited to keeping track of points, but I was pleasantly surprised to see videos posted on it. Furthermore, EE players looked great! Also Nino's skills seemed to have improved and both he and Artie look alot bigger than last year. Can't wait for the season to begin!
