Hey RPM, I agree, they should have had it on Saturday, but E-E would have been a no show because of the LSU tourney. So they should have just moved it to the following Saturday. But, as someone stated earlier, "they just tired and want to take a little break/vacation".

Just to add to the converstation about teams fighting after the game.
Harlingen vs. (green team?). After losing the game in the final seconds, a Harlingen player sucker-punched another kid during the tradtional post-game handshake. This makes a 2nd incident involving fights with opposing teams.

(before sweetninjas throws a fit) I'm not saying Harlingen is full of rotten apples, just one or two.

I was just wondering after all the crap that was talked in here....to not show up to play is just lame. I know it probably wasn't the players but still. It is very anticlimactic.

I heard that it was during the game but I wasn't there. I heard they threw him out of the tournament. Good! Get rid of peeps like that. Very uncalled for and there is no excuse for that.

The tourney is not over, but here are some of my personal opinions about some of the teams:

Harlingen-- Big QB that plays BIG. Didn't seem like he has a go-to guy.
Mission Vets-- Speedy guys, but the QB arm was lacking.
Rio Hondo-- Size, Size, Size. Those kids were big and aggressive.
Lyford--Fiesty, but looked a little disorganzied, even with Roger the dodger
Edinburg--Another strong-armed QB. He was hitting Menchaca left and right
Porter--Not a lot of speed, but big sized kids, they were resiliant -- also won the lineman challenge
Economedes-- Decent looking
E-E -- As if anything needs to be said about them
E-E Gold -- Had some troubles early, a lot of young kids playing--a couple 8th graders were playing
Rowe--A lot of quick WR w/ good hands.

I put "green team?" It was a guy from Rowe.
Anyways, I think they let it go as a warning... IMO, he should have been escorted off the premises by security.

Yea...I agree with you buzzy. I hate when players act like that....especially those from Harlingen. They have to realize that they are not only representing themselves but their school too. It makes us all look bad.
