I heard the same thing, but don't quoate me I am not 100% sure..... It was said to me they were going to start getting ready for the season and put 7 on 7 behind them, but like I said I am not 100% sure so find another person to be sure... your joking, right?! I just spoke w/ Cosme Jones. The Tigers will not be competing in this tourney today. |

I doubt mercedes or for that matter any other team would want their players coming up hurt, with football season coming up pretty soon. Was weslaco east going also?

For the crap about coming up hurt. If they had work or they just didn't feel like playing because it isn't that important then so be it....but don't come up with the excuse about not wanting to get hurt. That is just lame.

EE still has something to play for, which is the LSU tournament. All of the other schools in the Valley are now done since the state tournament is over. My guess is the kids are just tired and are now ready for a short break before the regular football starts. But that is just my take on it.
