Well, all my boards are pre cut and I can have them all up in an hour. Taking them out of the attic will probably take up more time and energy than putting them up. I will make a decision tomorrow.
I picked up some lanterns, candles, bottled water, and canned foods, just in case, but I SERIOUSLY doubt there will be problems. I also filled up the wife's SUV. My car stays behind if we have to vacate.

Also, we have some high pressure coming in over from the west...hopefully, that knocks this thing north...I haven't seen any indication of a turn yet, but this might turn it north if the timing is right.

Winds are currently in the 50mph range so still 24mph to go before Cat. 1. But now that its over the gulf it should gain strength, speed, and tighten up. Be prepared. you never know what can happen...I'd rather be stuck w/ extra water, batteries, and canned goods than not have enough. Especially since the weather is really hot right now I would think the Gulf waters are really hot as well. That only feeds the Hurricane more strength

Should not get anywhere past cat 1, unless the high pressure stalls that sucker in the gulf.
