lol Panthercrazy is going to be mad about your post, he likes to think of himself as the forum weatherman, and he already started a tropical storm thread. But yeah it looks to be coming this way as a tropical storm, well just a lil south of us but close enough.

A lot of the models are putting us right in her path. The good news is that she if forecast to be no more than a cat 1 if she gets to us on Wed/Thursday. I still don't think she will hit us, but it all depends on the high pressure...

Probably end up lil south of us due to the high pressure, and yeah it looks to stay a tropical storm. Because it just doesn't look to have enough time to strengthen once it reaches are neck of the woods in the gulf. But you never know, just gotta keep watching the news and the latest models.

This is the best pressure map I've found so far. On the other map, I cound not see where the high pressure ended. looks like it might be a bumpy ride folks. We need that high pressure to extend down a little further south...

The right side of the storm is the dirty side, where much of the damage comes.

High pressure is moving down. Let's watch the projections change.

Alot of people forget that tropical storms, if moving slowly, can cause alot of damage because they dump huge amounts of water. I don't know if u all remember tropical storm allison that lingered over houston. Allison is the only tropical storm to have had its name retired without gaining hurricane strength. She dumped over 40 inches of rain, $6.4 billion in damage and 41 deaths.

Very true. I think we are going to be ok on this one. High pressure is moving over the gulf...weird how it is barely covery the coast line...

But why would the projected path come towards us if the weather people know there are high/low pressures along the coast???
