Is it me or is Rock music sub par these days. I was listening to 94.5 on my way home which I usually dont do cause I listen to 1240am and it sucked. I didnt hear any new music that I liked.
I miss bands like Soundgarden. Wish they were still around but they quit when they should have.

94.5 plays classic rock. I hate that term. Most of it is from when I was in college or high school.
Just an aside. Look up Mighty Mike Quinn's wiki page. That thing is freaky.

i love corpus stations. the country, the tejano, the rock, all the stations play a very good variety of music. san antonio and austin also have some good radio stations, especially for tejano music.

94.5 plays too much alt/grunge, its rare that you hear anything heavy, and thanks to 99.5 Tejano radio has gone in the toilet, when Intocable came into the picture, 99.5 convinced Tejanos that they were Nortenos trapped in a Tejano's bodyand that Norteno music was the same, only better. More often you here people talking about how they miss the old stuff. You listen to 99.5 and they play this stuff from way down south , that Banda music and reggaetton. who listens to that stuff? There is a radio program on the weekends that I always seem to miss but its sponsored by the South Texas Conjunto Asssociation and they also have a tv show on KMBH on Saturdays and Sundays. I'd rather slit my wrists than have to listen to 94.5 or 99.5 all day. The variety is much better north of the valley where some radio stations still take pride in being Tejano.

i'm gonna have to have a talk with mando and rock n roll james about 99.5 the crap they're putting on now is boring......we should start up a few radio stations, one for each major genre of music that we listen too.......that'd be fun.

Tell Rock to decide what he wants to be, a rocker, a norteno, or a cholo but he can't be all three. SOmetimes I wonder if he's all there. Tell him to grow a pair and stand up for the Tejanos 99.5 has turned their nose up too and play the good stuff.

but the tejano stuff is what's actually good. i don't even know half the artists that come out on there anymore. there's some good tejano acts still out there right now. i like it when mando plays during the middle of the day because we get to here a bunch of good stuff.....idk what's up with rock.....he used to be all about tejano.

Forget about valley radio stations....
My truck's cd player w/ four disc changer can play mp3s. That's a lot of hours on the road before I go through them all.

On my way home from work at 5 i tune in to wild 104 for the remixes and stuff and sometimes they just play some stupid dumb retarted remixes. It totally sucks that i sometimes even have to tune in to 99.5 and that's cuz i RARELY listen to 99.5 or even 107.9

that has to be fake...right? I don't know if it is fake but it is definitely bigger than life. Mike is also now the music director for 94.5. Stranger things have happened but this one is up there. |
