Is it me or is Rock music sub par these days. I was listening to 94.5 on my way home which I usually dont do cause I listen to 1240am and it sucked. I didnt hear any new music that I liked. I miss bands like Soundgarden. Wish they were still around but they quit when they should have.  |

XM radio my friends... you'll never go back.
Every once in a while I'll flip on to 94.5 or 100.3 (can't stand that tejano crap) and it's always the same shite. Not a big country fan but I like my rock and as big a fan as I am of Aerosmith, Led Zepplin and AC/DC I've grown bored of Janie's go a gun, stairway to heaven and thunderstruck.
I actually heard Big Al and Charlie whine on the radio the other morning about people phoneing in requests. They asked that people email them in otherwise the "Boss" doesn't believe it's really a request and won't go buy the CD at the "record store".

I personally don't like Hip Hop or Regeaton or Banda music but to each thier own. We all have our own personal likes or dislikes.

i got into a serious argument one day when i used to work at renaissance hospital with this guy who truly believed that banda was the true representation of spanish music...i proceeded to give him a history lesson on banda and spanish music in general, needless to say that was the last time he tried to argue with me about anything......banda sux!!!!

Back in the early 90s there were 3 country stations and 3 tejano stations and B-104 in the Valley. It was fine. Real tejano (La Mafia, Mazz, Selena, etc.) music is alive and well everywhere else except the Valley because 99.5 is ridiculous. I haven't heard that station in years because of the junk they play. And yes, tejano music is fine with me. But status of Valley radio is a joke. It is awful. Only 104.9 Jack FM (good mix of 80s and other good stuff) is worth listening to while I search for another burned CD.  |

Kind of hard to believe Mr Quinns wiki info. But if he married into the Tichenor family, that would explain it. Still it probably needs to be updated. He resides in California. I still don't buy it, he has the noon spot on 94.5.
