Tell us more about this pressbox. Why are they gonna have a merchandise store there? That'll be weird. I know the visitors side in Weslaco definitely has room to go to the sides as I think it only goes to the 15 or 20 yard lines. On the home side, you must go up at least 10-15 rows. That'll help with the crowds that Mishak and Company would attract. visitor side goes to the 10 yd line.

Let me see if I can describe it. I 've only seen the architects drawings.
1st floor: lobby area, one Panther merchandise store, one Wildcat merchandise store, ticket offices 2nd floor: Athletic Directors office, conference room 3rd floor: Athletic Coordinators offices 4th floor: Visitors coaching area, media room, VIP suites 5th floor: Home team coaching area, all game day workers, VIP suites
Only the last two floors will be visible to the field. The pressbox will run from the 30 to the 30.

lol what is your infatuation with donna corb? From the games you've been too, haven't you only been there ONCE? And donna does NOT have the best facilities, their own fans will tell you that. They might be getting some upgrades though, in which rpm continues to deny lol. Harlingens parking is horrendous, other then that its a nice stadium. Yeah i parked there this past year corb in lf, and sure it was good parking but too bad falcon fans kept talking trash to us the whole way to the car. its not denail.....

i like our stadium....natural grass....good restrooms and enough concession stands on both sides.....also has plenty of paved parking for both the visitors and and home side....scoreboard could use some upgrading..and we defenitly need the fieldhouse for halftime and what not....the other thing would be a nice sidewalk from the visitors parking to there side of the entrance.....cause it gets ugly when it rains.... It's time to have one of the "grass" farms make a donation for a new scoreboard. Big screen and all. ;D

Well Benny La Prade looks to be a very big stadium to me. That one was recently expanded. I remember when Mission would play in Donna and the visitor's side was so small that it was always spilling over to the sides. Extremely nice upgrade. I've gotta make it out there for a game to check it out for myself one day. I'm going to date myself here, but in our third year in 5A (1988), we played Mission High when they had Valdez, Rodriguez , and Hernandez and Dowling as coach. You all packed the visitors side and then some and even had to bring a portable platform for the Dowling (used to coach from the press box) because the bleachers were to low. The stadium is great now, but should have been brought to 5A standards years ago, like right after we became a 5A school.

So if they were to add bleachers all the way to at least the endzone, it would increase capacity by 1000-1500 seats. And that's just the visitor's side. On the home side you would have to higher.

That is gonna be a first around these parts. Where did they come up with this idea to house the AD and merchandise store from? Did they see it somewhere else??

i think originally the stadium was suppose to be a dome shape but school board members voted another design.

i think originally the stadium was suppose to be a dome shape but school board members voted another design. And then the Dallas Cowboys took that design away from you guys and are building the best stadium in the world instead. What was the school board thinking? The should've gone with that design. Just imagine all the tourists dollars it would've brought to your town. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wouldn't say it was our original idea. Some of the stadiums looked at were Burleson and Comalander.

not a complete dome, but the seats were to be all around the track and field.I believe it was to hold our buses as well. i know members were wanting this design but didnt turn out in their favor.
