After the completion of this upcoming football season, WISD will began construction on a 5 story state of the art press box complete with vip suites, merchandise stores, conference rooms, athletic directors office, etc.
It's a thing of beauty and the best thing, it will cost the taxpayers absolutely nothing.
They will also be adding 3,000 seats with half of them having chair backs.

If so, that means they have to add more rows to the home bleachers and then add that incredible press box you speak of. And sound systems that I really like are the one in LJ. That one sounds crystal clear and electric and they use it nicely for their entrance song. "Que Salgan Los Coyotes!" It is just awesome.

Anybody have pictures of this huge pressbox. I don't understand why they would have such an extravagant pressbox with suites and all. That type of thing should be left up to college and professional sports IMO. But kuddos to Weslaco if they can get it done.

Donna's are the best from the games I've been to. Yes, it is a walk if you are a visitor or don't get there early. I've always been treated well there.
LF has the best parking but not many know about it, it's behind the stadium and very close. Well patrolled by local emplyees, police, sheriffs, and constables to minimize the nonsense.
Hate to say it but Weslaco isn't too bad either.
Harlingen? Parking is an issue for visitors. It's a long walk unless you park in front of someone's house.

Hey Corb any word on when you all will expand the bleachers on the visitor's side? Many LJ peeps were left out without a ticket for the last playoff game with you guys.

the parking at panther stadium used to suck, but ever since they paved over the old shot/discus area, it's been really nice there. from what i understood about the extra seats eagleprophet, both the home and visitor's side were going to have rows added to them. the seats with the backs are going to be similar to the one's that they have in brownsville. i like the idea of the suites only because it'll probably attract some big playoff games (besides the one's weslaco will be in) from the rest of the state.
oh and eagleprophet, nobody should have pictures of the press box because it's not up yet ;D

lol what is your infatuation with donna corb? From the games you've been too, haven't you only been there ONCE? And donna does NOT have the best facilities, their own fans will tell you that. They might be getting some upgrades though, in which rpm continues to deny lol. Harlingens parking is horrendous, other then that its a nice stadium. Yeah i parked there this past year corb in lf, and sure it was good parking but too bad falcon fans kept talking trash to us the whole way to the car.

Yeah tell me about it, panther fans were left with a ticket in their hand that had an invisible row and seat number on it. I think it was row 28 or something on the visiting side, lf sold tickets to a row that wasn't even there. Those fans had to stand the whole time instead. Horrible ..

Tell us more about this pressbox. Why are they gonna have a merchandise store there? That'll be weird. I know the visitors side in Weslaco definitely has room to go to the sides as I think it only goes to the 15 or 20 yard lines. On the home side, you must go up at least 10-15 rows. That'll help with the crowds that Mishak and Company would attract.

I didn't know you could do that? WTH!!! Can't they get in trouble for selling tickets to their "INVISIBLE" part of their stadium. Just how big are those visitor's bleacher in LF?

there's 30 seats per row and 28 rows altogether with 5 sections i believe. they sold an extra row of seats in each section for the weslaco game. it was crazy. cops were threatening to kick people out if they didn't sit down but they couldn't. row 29 wasn't even there.
