Well I would have to say who do you think is going to be leading the valley with a good Defense.
EE Has all their Defense coming back. Only Three starters graduated. Which Was #99 Galvan, #36 Villareal, and #6 Rodriguez. Other Than that everyone is coming back.

Well you made it to the all-stars, and losing Galvan is a big hit, but EE always has a stout defense. But My pre season pick is going to be Harlingen for best defense.

I hate to say but in a way i agree. Manny Gomez is a good Defense of Coach. so EE is going to have a fight all night. In other words its going to be a very good game.

ee fan its not 'strength' that was lacking on that left side...anyway best D this year will be between SB and Hgn.....Hgn's Dline has a stiff test against McHi's O-line they got sum big boys up front.

That harlingen vs sb match up is going to be one defensive battle. Wasn't that the case last year at the battle of the arroyo?

No wonder coach Ford didn't want to play Harlingen High this year. The cards D is a beast.

Don't want to stir anything up, but what exactly makes people think that Harlingen's defense is awesome. Is it because they all their defense back from last year, or is it because they beat up on PI? Can someone elaborate

Can someone elaborate Experience on the Dline and the LB core is quik and fast, hope EE gets that oline takin care of by the time sept 5th rolls around and that left side of their D taken care of if not its lights out for the jackets.....im sure the EE coaches can 'elaborate' on the cardinal D for you, quite a few in attendance last saturday. Like i said previously Mchi will be a true test they have an experienced Oline, bigger than most teams in the valley coming back vs hgn Dline which has the most experience on the D and Mingo Rincon who will anchor the Cards this year...Gluk against Cal and GP, c ya sept 5.

how did harlingen D hold PI? other than shutting them out, like how many rush yds and pass yds did they allow? or was it not recorded

"hound puppie", dont be crazy, i just would like to know why EE's defense is so good going against 4A teams in there district. the harl. D has most of the players back, that went against LF(twice),donna, san benito, harl. south, ed. north,PSJA, all playoff teams, won some and lost some games but they have been thru the battles and held its own.

EE returning 8 on the def from a good squad could put EE up there as one of the rgvs best def, but with Cal then Harln then a healthier PI those def stats could suffer.
Interesting pre-district for EE we'll see.
