Mercedes Coaches drop the ball

[RR RATED]

Just heard from very upset parents that Mercedes High School softball coaches didn't follow thru with proper paperwork to nominate softball players to the RGV All-Stars softball showcase. Apparently..... Coaches did ask several players if they wanted to participate and those who were asked agreed.....but coaches failed to process the paperwork. You are talking about top notch players that have giving Mercedes back to back Championships the past 4 years. Coaches dropped the ball on this one! Way da go coaches........

In my honest opinion, that coach just happened to be at the right place at the right time. These girls had been winning ever since they played little league together. We'll just have to wait & see what happens next year.

I'm not sure for how long the head softball coach has been in Mercedes. But you rarely ever get a good crop of players ever so often like the way she had these last 4 years.

Those girls were allowed to play afterall, but through no help of the softball coaches, they received help from a school board member who went out of his way to get them on the team.

Unfortunately, since the girls got on the team late, they were relegated to backup roles which was the only fair thing to do since the other girls had gone to all the practices.

Mercedes softball the past 4 years was good because of the talent not the coaches.........

Maybe we should get those Coaches on the board and hear their side of it. I'm sure they have a legitmate reason that would explain this misunderstanding.

which one of those girls was a cheerleader. there was one that was throwing shirts and footballs up to the top of the stands this year. she had a cannon.
