I guess I am not that clear on this, but why is this forum being "linked" at their site not enough? Maybe bandwidth issues? |

It basically goes back to the fact that we are not affiliated with anyone and and anonymous board so Channel 4 cannot use our information and plug us. With Channel 4 publicity, we will grow faster than we could imagine. If we become an actual part of rgvsn, we can reap the rewards of the affiliation with channel 4 and they can use our information and opinions. It really is win win. |

I say it's a step in the right direction. You won't know if your doing the right thing until you try it. You think it's worth the risk, I would think so. Like you said, you can always come back and do your own thing. You will not lose any members, if anything you will gain some more with the publicity of RGVSN and KGBT4. Sound like a plan!

hey mod it sound like a great idea you will be able to expand quickly with the amount of sources available on these 2 forums...since it is RGV Sports the forums can be used as a source to get schedules and/events coming to the valley, for instance Harlingen had a National softball Tourney and noticed there was little media coverage....im sure there are events like these in and around the valley going on that people would like to attend just dont have the info....the valley is growing and our sports should grow along with it.

Yeah, this would have been a great arena to promote that information.
I have some plans for some things like that, but I don't want to get into details until its done. I would hate for anyone to "borrow" my ideas.

i havent read all the posts but the only problem i see would be the name of forum cuz you start to publisize forum as RGVSPORTS FORUM the name RGVSPORTS is still owned by well RGVSPORTS so you might have to change the name

that's why we should've gone with "rgvsportsclassic" or something like that in the beginning. or you could call it the "rgvsn sports forum" on channel 4. the people would go to rgvsn.com, click on the forum link and it would come straight here.....

i was think the same thing about the Name...
when i tried to find the site(before i booked marked it)... you try to google rgvsports forum and the old rgv site was the first and this site was n page 4 i think...
