That is what this forum was lacking... a face. Something to provide it stability, a home.... Although it has it's loyal supporters, there is no base for future growth. New members, new loyal supporters.

Is there going to be all sorts of pop up ads and 2357 ads per page like some places? I hate all those ads everywhere. Takes away from the simplicity of the board. Other than that, I say whatever the chuckster thinks. We have come this far following chuck....why not go the rest of the way?

MY only thoughts on this are that we just got comfortable with this board and then we would have to move again. As long as another set of bean counters don't have too much influence on the direction of the boards, I'd be good with it. I'm going to do my best to transfer all the posts. I'm pretty sure we will still be able to access through our current domain name, rgvsportsforum. Jake has assured me that neither he nor channel 4 will interfere with is running the board. They are happy they way it is being run as is. |

Besides, I don't that these types of opportunities come around very often....
This is almost cutting edge... i'm not too surprised that a RGV media sources such as Ch. 4 is looking to (kind of wish it was Chn. 5, even thought Dave Brown hates EE) embrace the opportunities out there on the world wide web (besides a basic website).
Kudos to Jake for working hard to get this set up...

i say do it. i already tell people to go to the rgvsn site to access this board anyway. i agree with corb in that we don't need any interference from other people on the site, but since you have already been assured that won't happen i say go ahead.

just wanted to let you guys know that ive met Jake before and his intentions are good....i had propositions with him with my old site...but at the time i wasnt sure if I had the time to dedicate myself to do the work....

HEY RGVSN... What RPM said, reminded me of a converstation we had about building a network of RGV football website. In any case, xlobo is still getting his feet wet, but has put in some good manhours to put together a website for the Brownsville Lobos. What was it again that you were offering again? Is the offer still on the table?

I know Jake personally and in interest of full disclosure worked a little for him last year covering football games. Good guy and his interest in valley sports is pure.
