Don't the Cards play Donna? Donna is a mostly a running team also, so Harlingen has seen a team like PI in the Redskins.

Harlingen is 6-0 in the last six games against donna. (RPM won't like that stat) What type of offense does PI run?

I think even Donna has "opened it up" as of late and throws the ball around a bit more than they used to.
With PI though, it's going to be about 85% run 15% pass but with the QB we have coming up from the JV (6'2" with decent arm and good speed) might have to change that to maybe 75/25 run/pass.
But the thing that'll probably freak Harlingen out the most is when PI busts out the ol' "Maryland I" formation.

i 'm not saying PI wont or can't win the scrimmage or real game, against harl. , I'm just saying they wont run the ball on harl. 31-5A is actually a running district (PSJA North, PSJA, Edinburg, Ed. North). PSJA bears are a top 5 valley team and maybe higher, sleeper team!

Being that it's a scrimmage, after only two weeks of practice and 1 week of actually running plays in pads, I wouldn't expect too much. Plus, coaches will be looking at different personnel in different scenarios .. it is what it is, a scrimmage. Having said that, I still think we can see a few good plays from both teams.

I am sure there will be good plays and bad ones. After all it is the first scrimmage. I just want to see some live action football!
