I hear you. Key words right now, but possiblilty of him moving up could happen sometime during the season. true dat So, what do you think about that possible line up. |

Ya, I see Paco getting his 10-12 touches, word is PI is trying to put 3 RBs in there even using some as WR, but with Diego and Alaniz hurt they really didn't get to try that 'new' experiment in the last scrimmage. We'll see.

ILL GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE, RIO HONDO IS GOOD BUT THEY ARE IN 3A FOR A REASON, THEY AND ANY OTHER 3A TEAM WOULD GET KILLED IN 5A. 5A JUST HAS MORE TALENT AND A BIGGER STUDENT BODY TO CHOOSE FROM. DONT GET ME WRONG I PLAYED IN 3A BACK IN 88' AND WE WERE GOOD AS WERE ALL THE OTHER 3A TEAMS INCLUDING PI WHO IS THE ONLY TEAM THAT BEAT US THAT YEAR BUT I WOULD NEVER SAY WE COULD HANG WITH A 5A SCHOOL, I MEAN LETS BE REAL. never say never... a few years ago...it was actually LF's first season as a 5A...i think theyre enrollment at the time was well over 2000...anywho the game went into over time.. PI 13 LF 13 after four quarters final was PI 13 LF 16..F ot soo its possible for lowly 3A schools to hang with 5A...maybe not harlingen but im sure a few... |

YES GUY BUT LIKE YOU SAID THAT GAME WAS LF 1ST OR 2ND YEAR I DONT REMEMBER SO THE WERE JUST COMING OFF A 4A MENTALLITY WHICH IS A LITTLE CLOSE TO 3A NOW THAT I WOULD EXPECT TO BE A CLOSER MATCH UP AND IT WAS. BESIDES P.I. AND LF HAVE BEEN SCRIMMAGING FOR YEARS.

who cares, Pi did their thing and Harlingen did their thing, its only a scrimmage........i went to see the PI boys practice and Stump told me, "hopefully we will still be practicing in Dec."Thats what all valley Powerhouses gotta worry about,winning THEIR district championship and beating them boys from up north for once.

Taking into account not all 24 of the RGV 5As are of Harlingen's caliber...IMO, for the most part the PI and RH District champs can hang with the bottom half of the RGV 5As. Though, there hasn't been any 5A vs 3A head-to-head game since the 2005 there was a handful of common opponents here and there since then. 2004 5A Los Fresnos 16, 3A Port Isabel 13 (In OT at that) 2004 5A Los Fresnos 21, 5A McAllen Rowe 13 2004 PSJA Mem lost to 5A PSJA N. by 20, PI beat PSJA Mem by 24 2005 3A Rio Hondo beats 4A Miss. Memorial by 20 just like 5A McAllen Mem. did. 2006 RH beats 4A Weslaco E. by 14, 5A Lopez beats WE by only 2pts 2006 EE beats 3A Hidalgo by 3pts, EE beats 5A Weslaco by 21pts 2006 3A La Feria beats Mercedes by 7, 5A Lopez loses to Mercedes by 29pts 2007 Rio Hondo beats Wes-East by more points than two Bro. 5As combined did. 2007 RH beats Roma by 48, 5A Lar. United So. beats Roma by 19. 2007 EE beats PI by 8pts, 5A Mishak-led Weslaco edges EE by 1pt. Now if you want to speak for Santa Rosa and say you guys could never hang with a 5A school I could buy that. |

i dk but if progreso could beat mission then pi definitely can hang with some of the higher classification schools.
