if its not true why so defensive midvalley?? If whats not true? And its not about being defensive, its about pointing out just how random and full of nonsense you ee fans are hunter. And amnova starting it all in page 1 just proves my point. Coming in here trying to make a point and then he realizes he was wrong and then he changes the tune. lol. Just a waste of time hunter, really is. Ee is in the same boat as we are, can't beat that non valley team when it matters the most. So were all on the same playing field. And lmka is the same way hunter and you know it. Both of them always tend to rear off the topic in a hurry. Really wp just stated his opinion on the school, just like buzz stated this opinion on utpa. How are we in the same boat. You have not beaten as non Valley team in the playoff in the last 16 years. In the mean time we have beaten 12 non Valley opponents since 89. When it matters the most we have been to the 4th twice and the 3rd round twice also. the only way you can make it to the 3rd round is if you still play Valley times in the 1st and 2nd round. So every year the valley will have 3 teams in the 3rd round in 5A.

but at least his not like you WP. Depending on GOVERNMENT HAND OUTS TO GO TO SCHOOL. I'M paying for 70% of it. I'M also paying for his APT. How much are you paying or shall I say Mommy and Daddy. Not bad for someone that you put down for driving a truck. And DeVry is capitalize. no, devry is a joke is what it is......might as well have gone to university of phoenix.....i'm sure he's a smart one he could've gotten in somewhere decent...as far as what i get.......i pay for my classes, and i pay my parents......i also take care of a daughter and pay child support......i take care of what i got to take care of..... Maybe if you would have learn family values you would not be paying child support.

i see...i haven't posted much on this topic. BUT, I see what LMKA is saying...ee gets to the 3rd round by playing non valley teams right from the get go...while weslaco plays two local teams first then a non valley team in the 3rd.
So LMkA, what ur trying to say is that it's like weslaco losing, pretty much, in the 1st round? Since the first two were valley teams? I do see your point...
Whatever the weather! Oh wait...A STORM'S A COMIN'!!! A STORM'S A COMIN'!!!

judging by the boys posts it seems like he's rather intelligent and thus capable of having more choices than devry......if that's all he could accomplish well that's well and good but i thought at EE they taught them to set the bar high.....devry isn't that high..... Do you know how many kids do nothing after high school? Devry was his choice because in many cases Devry offers a couple of things that were probably important to him. Time in school will more than likely be less than 4 years and he will leave Devry with some type of Associates or certificate in some sort of technical program. I would compare Devry to TSTC. Its fits the needs of its students. Going to school for 4 years is not for everyone and many kids want to accomplish something academically and then get to work. Quit bashing this kid and his school, that is not cool, do you know how many career students we have in the valley, spending 4-6 years at UTPA or STC, this kid is ready to get his education and get to work ansd should be applauded not made fun of by you... Shame on you...

i know full well how many kids don't do anything after high school. i also know that devry sucks....i'm not bashing him, i know there's a post back in all of this non-sense where i said that i was happy that he was pursuing some higher education but devry is too expensive and you don't get everything that you pay for.......40,000+ is way too much to pay for half an education like you get at devry. there's no ethics courses, there's no real math courses, no real english courses......how does that produce a good professional??

my comments were out of line? how? the school sucks. you tell me what you'd rather hear....."hello my name is (insert name), i have a bachelor's in (whatever you could get) from UT in austin", OR..."hello my name is (insert name), i have a bachelor's in (whatever you could get) from devry" which do you think would be more attractive to an employer? Hate to break it to you but, unless the employer is from UT, they won't really care much unless there's something about that UT degree (like GPA) that makes it stand out. A degree just gets your name into a smaller group for future consideration. The subject matter of your degree shrinks the group down even further. After another review. Your interview determines most whether or not you are worth employing.

it's been my experience that the guy who attended a school with a more vigorous academic program gets the job.........

True, but the name of the school doesn't determine that.

i'm sure we could agree that a mechanical engineer from MIT would be placed much higher on a list of potential candidates than a guy who graduated as a mechanical engineer from UT....the school matters even though both have to follow the same set of rules of teaching to keep their status as an accredited university....
