Pickens is a very intelligent man, and his plan makes all the sense in the world, but as a society so dependant on oil, can we emplement it. I sure hope so.

Pickens point is that we are involved in the losing end of the largest transfer of wealth in human history. $700 billion per year from us to the Arabs.
$700B looks like this - $700,000,000,000.00

Buy an efficient car, be a revolutionary.
Our Yaris costs $12K and averages 40 mpg. and we love it....Toyota quality.
Our friends VW diesel Jetta gets 50 mpg and is a very nice car.

The point in his video that really makes this hit home, is when he says we use 25% of the oil, but only have 4% of the population. We all need to change our ways somehow. But damn, my big butt in a Yaris, now that would be funny.

Bio-Diesel would help alot of companies out. My uncle is a technician with the McDonald's in the Dallas are. He said they own 70 of them and they used the old frying oil. they make
Bio-Diesel with to power their truck. They don't by and diesel at all they produce all the fuel they need at a cost to about $1.05 a gallon.

I gave my congrats to Vets like everyone else did. Like i posted i was only able to go to the morning game because i had to get my Snapper riding Mower service and didn't get back until 7. |
