That's a very good one, too!! That's a sweet looking black panther there at the end, but the announcer sound a little soft. A rougher voice would've helped it out some, but very cool indeed with the highlights and all.

Yea. I always start laughing when I think about a team like judson or a coastal bend team going in there and hearing that. I wonder what they are thinking?? I love the fact that la joya does that. ;D ive been on the other side and its pretty funny ill tell you that much

that was at the harlingen playoff game.........that announcer is very popular here in weslaco. coach hite brought him back after the previous announcer, al barbosa, left for brownsville to be the principal at porter high school. he's alright IMO. i'm sure the LJ entrance is WAY more exciting in person, but the panther one gets it done all the time....

Sorry wp...In my opinion, La Joya has it. It is just the cultural thing I guess. Don't get me wrong...the weslaco one is cool too. I just really enjoy the La Joya one.

oh hell, i wish weslaco would come out like la joya does. i prefer the old breakthrough to the helmet thing we got now, and a good ol' fashioned corrido would really get people going, probably more than the panther does, if that's even possible....but the panther at the end is a really nice touch...

The best part of that whole thing was the panther. I agree with you though wp...I prefer the old breakthrough thing also. Old school is better because every team has that blowup helmet.

Man though but when it comes time to a big game or playoff game, the atmosphere at bobby lackey stadium is INSANE!!! I'll never forget how loud it got in that madison game. Just plain nuts.

Butcher paper! Yea...I guess that is old school. I wasn't going that far back but I guess you are right manimal. The lazy cheerleaders would have to actually do some work and get paint and all that. You know that isn't going to happen now a days.

OLD SCHOOL IS WITH THE BUTCHER PAPER...........ALWAYS ENJOYED THOSE BUT CHEERLEADERS NOW A DAYS ARE I GUESS LAZY TO CREATE SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON THERE OWN Yeah that would be neat, like a huge one for the whole team to rip through it. Like they did at hoover, during that two a days show the cheerleaders would make one every week with some saying on it about their opponents or something. Thats the only example i could give because nobody down here does that.

you know what, those breakthrough's that the cheerleaders would make were HUGE!!!! i mean really big. i had never ever seen breakthrough's that big that weren't made out of some reusable material like plastic or whatever they're made out of these days....

Nah, thats la joyas thing w/the corrido. It would suck if someone else did that, i like our entrances i agree this past years wasn't all that great but the panther at the end really fires up the crowd, thats a keeper.
