how else are you ever gonna understand how far your faith goes if you don't ask questions. you gotta understand your religion. blind faith is good for the church, but not good for you.

Hey guy's I don't want people to get upset with each other. This was just a question I wanted to ask you guy's. Like I said before I have Faith and if some people don't that's O'kay.

just to answer your question crazypanther we confess to a priest because this is how Christ intended it to be
(John 20:19-23):
On the evening of the first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
Christ gave his first priests which were the apostles the authority to forgive and retain sins. It was his intention that all sin be forgiven though the Church by aural confession of sins to the priests.

i was a jehova's witness.........raised in it up until the age of 12......the majority of my family are witnesses.

YES i BELIEVE in GOD.
And its funny because a friend of mine is like some ppl in here who have their doubts and what not and don't really believe in heaven or hell. But yet when a crisis comes up or something of that nature there they are praying to god to help them through it. Its like i thought you didn't believe in god, and their response is usually "well if there is a god, i need him now". I'm like how "convenient".
