you guys that say that fake isn't going to be there anymore talk like the guys we're going to be faking to are slow. weslaco is going to run and run and run still. the o-line is going to be very good, one of the best in years and that's saying alot. we might not have a running back that goes for 2500+ rushing yards, but i would not be surprised at all if there's 2 with at least 1000. weslaco will be less predictable this year so defenses are going to have to respect everything because they don't know who's going to get the ball anymore. plus, they got someone for you that'll remind you of shak.

Running a 4.5 is good but if aren't strong enough to run fast with the pads on it's not so good. But I've seen Dylan and he's pretty strong. You gotta be if you are the QB....

Yeah, what does DeLeon clock in the 40. Last year's Dave Cambell football magazine had him at 4.4. Is he really that fast? Dave Campbell's magazine is full of ****! +1. Same goes with that Texas High Extra football show on tv. I believe it is on FSN. They rarely show RGV teams on their programs.

Texas High School Extra is just focusing on the Central and North Texas area of the state. Not even San Antonio gets hardly any airtime in that program.

If you noticed Alex Trevino was at his best in the last 50 meters of the 100 meter dash. I think he's a consistent 4.5. Last year there was a clip on RGVSN that showed Alex vs. Mishak in the 40 yard dash against each other and Alex beat Mishak by a step or two. I think they both ran that barefoot, too.
Alex has breakaway speed and very good take off speed as well, but it is more evident in the breakaway department.

i've seen dylan run that first in person, and i've heard of people who time in combines, such as college and pro scouts, also time him at that......can't argue with that. i think alex might be faster than 4.5 though.......

Get a load of this. Several Mission players have told me that they had 2 guys clock in the 4.3s before the year let out. I don't put much credence into that, but they insisted they do. They told me that they even had to measure the actual distance to make sure it was 40 yds. Silly.
I've been told there is a guy named JP Gonzalez with some wheels, but has yet to display this at the 7 on 7 because of injuries. And also Andy Zamora, who placed 3rd in the 100 behind Alex and Eddie Tovar from Vets has also been out from 7 on 7 competition. Maybe Boost got to see these guys at the earlier 7 on 7 competitions.

Man....back in the day, there were always players in the team that claimed to run a 4.4.and I was faster than some of them.I was like "heck....if u run a 4.4,then I must be in the legit 4.3 range."pfft
Something to keep in mind is that the timings in the track & combine are different. There are some that make a you a .10 slower or faster.

FAT times are slower than hand held timers. The human hand always works with your anticipation of where the runner might be at the point in crossing the line. And most of the time we are trigger happy when timing.
I ran a 4.7 on occasion, but my regular times were mostly 4.8, but of course I would tell people I ran a 4.7. Still pretty good speed if you ask me.

4.82?? lol. Hell no, some lineman run faster then that. I read that in the other thread when morris posted it but theres no way that is correct. I was waiting for him to edit it or something. My nephew attended this QB camp and had alot of his stats wrong. Such as height, weight, etc.

agree to disagree on this one, dylan is a panther and everything, but i'd rather talk about the team speed than sit here and talk about how fast dylan is or isn't......

That's what this thread is really about. Overall team speed.
