Harlingen South old OC had a good year, i wonder why he moved down from a good 5A team to RH at the same position? Maybe he's eyeing the Head Coach position if your new coach has a down year? Hmm

Guy-
Lemon wasn't the one stating RH will go to the state title game. I did mention that, but you're reading what you want to read.
If you were a true realist....you would know that I was hypothetically speaking....meaning that the possiblity is there, but it will be a tough task to get to the state title game for alot of 3A teams. Period.
PI CAN MAKE IT in '09 though. That team will be stacked like the '94 team.
Geez...dude....get off your highhorse.

People hear what they want to hear period. As I said before Rio Hondo is the defending champion and as far as District 32-3A is concerned everything goes through them until someone else knocks them off.

what's up lemon. what's this with you saying all this stuff about tradition, district being a stepping stone, long playoff runs. you say that now RH thinks of 32-3a as a stepping stone. how can you say that when RH has only won like 4 d championships. and if RH is barely figuring out that district is a stepping stone, you guys have a lot to learn. PI has thought of 32-3a as a stepping stone since the 70's. and tradition. how many times has RH made it to the playoffs maybe ten times. maybe. Has RH ever had a long playoff run. no. not even a playoff run at all. until you can actually make it deep in the playoffs and win district year in and year out, you can't think of district as a stepping stone. if you made an RH football history site, what would be on there. 4 distict championships? 2 rounds in the playoffs. you are in no position to claim yourself as the top dog in 32-3a and say that you have any sort of tradition. because the only teams in the valley that actually have a history to remember are edcouch, donna, and Port Isabel. PI has been the top dog in district and still is. 31 playoof appearences in 33 years. 17 district championships. 3 state semi finalists. numerous quarter finalists and regional finalists. that is tradition. when you can accomplish that, then you can think of district as a stepping stone. and don't say stop living in the past, because that's what tradition is based on

what's up lemon. what's this with you saying all this stuff about tradition, Never said anything about tradition. . . . It is something to build on, no? Everyone has to start somewhere. Hasn't done much, now has it . . . If UIL had the same playoff scheme as it has now, RH would be there alot more. PI had 2 maybe 3 that are worthy of mention . . . in how many years? Well, PI is on the downturn. Someone has to step up. All in all, it has been RH/PI for this decade, save a few years. And when all the games in district, save maybe two SHOULD be won in a deciding fashion . . . the district is a stepping stone. PI has lost that unbeatable aura, not just to RH, but to the rest of the district. PI is not the only team to beat anymore. History is in the past. that is for has beens like us. What matters is what the teams can do now and in the future. I'm sorry . . . who is the reigning champ? The trphy goes through where? never said such. But if you insist, the tradition has started. Like I said, it has to start somewhere. In 1975, PI had no tradition . . . Forgot Harlingen lol . . . that is why the top teams are playing you in non district. That is why PI is on no one's top 25. That is why the district crown goes through RH . . . And all that had to start from a team that was repeatedly beat down by RH. But like I said . . . that is the past. You have a long tradition, but it has to start somewhere, and it has to end somewhere. Rome did not fall in a day. Please tell me what tradition PI had in 1976. If you want to dwell on the past, I can as well. RH beat down for 25 years. It was not in the cards for a long playoff run. Then PI returned the favor. now we are all back on track. PI and RH going back and forth. I see you fail to mention that. So in fact, RH does have tradition. It was lost for awhile, but we found it. If you want to use the past, I can as well. Thanks for playing though.
