Supersplash was not a theme park, but a "nice swimming pool with a couple of slides here and there." That park was run down by the lack of experience in management and promotion. The location was horrendous, but in the end, they really did not give it a chance. I would've continued to visit had they kept up the improvements and marketing schemes to get us to go more.

C'mon let's get serious...does anyone remember Super Splash?? That huge white elephant of a disaster that ate the taxpayers lunch?Remember the promises of tourism revenue? Yeah, right. The present economy can't support another shot in the dark unless it's bankrolled by some heavy hitters that don't mind gambling with their own money...until then, I would't bet on it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posts

It is as close to a theme park that you'll see in these parts for a long while.

mexico will get a theme park on their side before we get one here in the valley. schlitterbahn barely made it on the island. it would be a good idea, but it won't get done.

Schlitter bahn sucks. end of story. I went and I must of gone around 10 times before it really got repetitive, n that's because I'm easily amused.

totally agree with you nova. it's way too small, and doesn't offer very much. i'd rather take a trip to NB if that one is still there, if i want to go ever again.

An amusement park down here would not be such a bad idea. I think it could manage. That would be the s**t though, if there was one.

We will never know if it will make it until a group with the mula decides to give it a shot... I guess the more we talk about it here in this forum the better the chance of someone reading this and decides its not such a bad idea and may very well have huge potential.
Question for you fellas!! If there were to be one located here in the RGV, how many times would you all go to this place in the long summer vacation given you have kids or friends that like the thrill rides???

supersplash a theme park now come on guys like prophet said they placed it in a wrong location but you bring in those big thrill rides like the ones at six flags and the valley will bring in alot of business. and if mexico were to get one before us do you really think that many people from the U.S. will go through the whole hassle of passports and also lets not forget whats happening in mexico with all the cop killing and the drug wars.
