I’ve never been a fan of having a Valley top ten, cause you always have folks like exhawk who will come on here and make that same old nonsense claim. Well head-to-head a 3A would not beat a 5A, and only the elite 3 & 4A teams could give a 5A team a competitive game. Well that is true but that is why we have classifications. With that mind set teams like La Feria, Raymondville, Wes E and so on would be extreme long shots at making the valley top 10. That is why I like to create two lists, 5A (top 10) and Sub-5A (top 5). Cause lets face it, true top 5A teams are in a class of their own, and should not lose to a team in a lower classifications (notice the “SHOULD NOT” – before anyone starts the “well EE could beat….” argument) With that said, here are my lists: 5A 1) Harlingen 2) Los F 3) Donna 4) Harl South 5) San Benito 6) McAllen 7) PSJA 8) PSJA N 9) Mc Memorial 10) Bro Rivera – call me crazy but I like their chances. Sub 5A 1) EE 2) PI 3) Mercedes 4) WE 5) Raymondville While I agree with you on most of your picks, I am still hesitant about putting Bro Rivera and Raymondville at the top 5 of each list. Also, I think PSJA is going to be the next big surprise...the team is going to be loaded with seniors that are just awesome! |

d**n what is going on. i was out for a while and i see you all posting about bets on e-e and mercedes, beer drinking and bbq, and wp eating glass and someone eating nails and screws. what else happened while i was gone. also why is mercedes not on the top ten. is every one on drugs or what? My top ten goes like this:
1.Los fresnos-till someone dethrones them
2.Harlingen-always tough
3.EE-same as LF
4.PI-always seem to be strong
5.Donna-good backs coming up
6.San Bene
7.Rio hondo-defending DC
8.Mercedes-will be better than people think
9.Pharr north-same as PI
10.Mcallen High

san benito?  what are you guys smoking on seriously. they've had some of the best TEAM talent that they're ever going to have and they keep coming in 3rd. mchi is way too low on that list. they had talent last year, and are going to have it again this year. they're going to be up there. |

Would RH be in the top 10? Being that they went 11-1 last year yeah i do think should be in the top 10...... your response will be well they lost a few coaches....... my response will be well so did HS and you still have them in the top 10.... ;D |

If I can recall correctly I think Santa Rosa was in at #10 in the final poll as far as the news papers and news stations go in 2007.
