E-E wins third 7-on-7 tourney

ALICE - The Yellowjackets went 6-0 at the Alice 7-on-7 tournament Saturday, defeating Beeville 32-18 in the championship round. E-E won the Rio Grande Valley tourney two weeks ago and the Houston tourney before that.
En route to the title game, the 'Jackets beat Corpus Christi Flour Bluff (38-28), Calallen (49-27), Moody (46-19), Tuloso-Midway (59-26) and Gregory-Portland (30-7). Next up for E-E is its own 7-on-7 Super Bowl next week, followed by the state tourney July 11 and 12 in College Station.
