Robstown's first 3A game in awhile. They gave Calallen a good game last year.
Rio Hondo's first game in a tough non district schedule with a new HC and OC.
Thoughts?

not sure what's Robstown gots coming back but, other than Cal falling asleep on that game. Robstown lost to a 1-9 Sinton team, got shot out by a 2-8 laredo school
As for Rio Hondo, I expected more than 2-0 vs 1A La Villa, but beating Valley View 6-1 is more like it, though V-V only won 1 game last year.
Nevertheless, if each team is similar to last years, RH by 28+

Scrimmage vs La Villa was only 15 plays for each side for both strings The score against VV was what it was last year (minus the TD this year . . . but we almost gave it to them last year too . . . so)

its the start of a new season and the Cotton Pickers under their 3rd year coach has had good starts to the season before fading. Its in Robstown and better park as close to the stadium as possible, hint.... hint...

Rio Hondo should win this one. But Robstown is making some strides in the right direction. The drop down to 3A might be good for them.

why did rio hondo play valley view in a scrimmage? they need to be playing big schools to get ready for the season. in other words, i cant predict the outcome of this game.
