Well, I've decided this season I'm going to try to go across the valley to watch the good and not so good teams....mainly because I'm a RGV football fan.
I would prefer to go to Rio Hondo and Donna games, but I'm a fan of the game in general. I don't know the ins and outs of different offenses/defenses nor will I claim that I know everything about football, but I do have a good analysis of what each team has to do to get to the next level or play competitive at the very least.
I believe that the culture and attitude is changing here in the VALLEY in that the kids have started to believe they can compete against other teams.
I mean...look at EE,RH,PI,Mercedes, etc. Those teams are playing "outside" of the valley early in the season. EE is playing THE TOP 4A team in the Region and RH is playing one of the top 10 teams in the state in Cuero.

I was gonna go watch EE v. Cal, but it is scheduled on the same day that I'm watching Harlingen Cards against the McHigh Bulldogs. It should be a dandy!!
