Com'on, it's only 12:36am Saturday morning. Where are you guys? Can't you come out and play? I was out celebrating the injury free scrimmage. How did the Bluff look tonight? Or was there no game at all? Your QB needs to get ready for some pressure. If LB Blitz, then he needs to get the hot read ASAP as the pressure can get there quick. SB has an awesome QB with very good escapability or else he would've been sacked even more. I have a correction to make. A friend told me Acevedo actually got 4 1/2 sack and not three.

We always look terrible in scrimmages.
Can't run, can't throw, can't tackle.
Pressure our QB? Why would you want to do that? It does not sound nice at all.
He's only 5'4" and 126lbs and you people want to pressure him. He's already got esteem issues as it is. Surely we can reach some accomodation?

Yeah right, more like 6' 3" and runs like a rabbit. Did he play tonight? What was the score against RF?

Score? You mean they scored! I must have been smooching with my wife and missed it. Dang, I love it when they do that.
Yawn, I gotta go to bed.

I bet you guys have tape, of something. Maybe the first scrimmage with PLC. You can share it with Mercedes.
I was just feeling fiesty last night. FBFan and I decided not to say anything but what the hell.
They scored a couple, we scored several. Did they look good? Yeah, you better believe they looked good. Better than I've ever seen them look at this point in the season.

There would have been at least two more but those drives stalled in the red zone when they took the starters out. FB had zero turnovers but recovered a fumble and made an int.

I heard GP and EE had a good scrimmage. 1-0 Controlled EE wins. 7-6 GP in the game conditions. EE missed PAT.
Sounds like you all dominated RF as expected.

Oh and......
The RF TDs.......first one came early before the FB D decided they wanted to get serious and the other came against the second/third stringers.

I was surprised actually because the last two years running FB was trounced by RF in scrimmages. It was kind of funny because Rockport would get a big head and think they were great and then get killed in week zero.
Last night coach apparently decided to let his team off the leash.

Wow!! I don't think Mission was trying to win the scrimmage. We didn't throw the ball deep once. But then again, that's been the playcalling for 3 years running. So Cal spanked the Vipers? That's pretty impressive. How 'bout PLC? Did they do anything last night. They are gonna be the Real Deal, right?

PLC returns almost the entire offense and since they were reborn in 06 they have been a contender.
As you have no doubt gathered, I am a staunch believer in that scrimmages mean very little to how a team will play when it goes live. Some teams try real hard in scrimmages and some teams are just looking at things within the team. The Vipers may be great, maybe not. EE may beat Cal.....who knows. My gut instinct is that Cal and PLC are going to win big. That leaves us and you know I like you guys but business is business.
BTW, my wife has to work Saturday morning and doesn't get off until about 2 or so. We may not be able to make the meet and greet but I'm going to try. If not we'll find each other and shake hands at some point.

There would have been at least two more but those drives stalled in the red zone when they took the starters out. FB had zero turnovers but recovered a fumble and made an int. I think it was 7 for FB but could have been pick a number if coach wanted to send a message or something. Truth is EP it could be that RF was just having a bad day or it could be that if you thought RJ was something, you ain't seen nothing yet. Hard to say until after three games then you really know what you're looking at. Seems to me HS teams make really big strides the first three games then they are about where they are going to be for the season after that. There can be no doubt tho that the FB QBs were on target, the WRs had glue for hands and the RBs were running with serious moves, speed and passion. The DBs and LBs are quick and fearless and the D line were colapsing their O line. The few blitzes that FB called arrived at the QB with the ball. In all a very upbeat performance but we will have to see how it translates into games.

Good Luck Mission! You can take them! Just use ball and clock control! "Luck is where preperation meets opportunity". but "If your relying on luck, you've already lost". Ball control.....LOL In 05 FB scored so fast that the defense never got off the field. It was a big problem. One play drives were the norm. Even the O line was upset because they seldom had a chance to feel like they contributed. We were very close to the center and he was always saying, "I hike the ball, block and look up to see Andre' going into the endzone at the other end of the field". The time of possesion stats were heavily in favor of the other teams but it was completely deceptive. Last year in the Calallen game FB had a drive that took up the entire third quarter. So thats the other end of the spectrum. Anyone can win on any given day...... If Mission is able to make the extended drives, finish them, keep the game close and control the clock in the fourth qtr, they could win. On the other hand if FB comes out thinking they have it in the bag before the opening kick off, Mission could win big. We don't know the charactor of this Hornet team yet. They may score three offensive tds in the first three offensive plays like they did once last year. Or they may not score at all. What I expect of the Hornets is to show up ready for a fight and take it to The Eagles for 48 minutes and emerge the victor by 2 or 3 tds. If they do that it is going to be a very good year for us.

It is gonna be a good one and I feel we have a shot to beat them. There are a few keys to this which I will talk about later, cuz I gotta run out again. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Jeez, with whats going on between Cal and EE..... we are so civilized.
I know you will leave it all on the field. No one would expect any less. That's why we have mutual respect. But we all know, business is business.
