a little of both lobo. when we started rolling we were already down 14-0 so idk. progreso has very good size and speed. they took it to us early and took advantage of our inexperience. we do get them again though, i'd imagine we'll be more prepared next time around. the psja memorial game was a great one. in the east game the east youngsters just outplayed my guys. they'd only been together a week, but that's not really an excuse in 7on7. overall a great night of football.

deep, they were just out running my safety. i couldn't even play games on them either because they'd just blow right past it before the defense got to their spot. the only other thing i could've done is go man, but that would've been suicide. the score would've been way worse.

Just play man with 2 guys over the top. And switch it up to look like man but fall into a zone.

we tried something like that early, that's where they got the second td to go up 14-0. we hadn't practiced it though, it was a quick adjustment. i only have 3 coverages right now. we've only been going at it awhile, next week we'll be better. progreso is good though.

yeah, it's nathan. he could be a lot better than he even realizes. he's gonna get there this summer though. man we looked a whole lot better last night than we ever have.

there were more games but i didn't get all the scores. progreso is looking good. weslaco 1 has had some injuries but should be at full strength next week. good games tonight.

yeah, progreso is fast, and they got plenty of size. weslaco 2 had their first games yesterday after 1 day of practice. they weren't sure if they were going to get a team or not so they never came out. by the next time they come out they should be ready. a lot of things disappoint me on the east side, but that's for another thread. thanks for the support though.

found out something yesterday. the east coaches, after seeing how effectively we used the shovel pass against them, asked the director of the league to not allow it to be used. the director, who doesn't seem to know jack about football, agreed. they, along with the refs who are also not very intelligent, said that it is an illegal forward pass. i guess that's only the case at weslaco east and not in little league, junior high, high school, college, and the pro's. punk move if you ask me.

Hmm, that would be very interesting, that their play carries over into the football season. It will make 32-AAA an even more tougher district to play in. I had heard that their QB is pretty good with decent speed. I also heard Raymondville won the tourney in Harlingen beating out Rio Hondo. |

sorry about not updating guys. there were no games this past wednesday because the field conditions were too bad. big games that were supposed to happen on wednesday was psja memorial vs weslaco 1, and weslaco 1 vs weslaco east 1. they will be replayed next wednesday. i wish there were more teams in this league, too bad mercedes jumped ship at the last minute. anyway, it's still getting good over there.
