football-gal, progresso has some very good size and speed. if they get someone to protect that qb, you're gonna have to keep a close eye on them. they are really fast even when you compare them to PI.

sorry about not updating guys. there were no games this past wednesday because the field conditions were too bad. big games that were supposed to happen on wednesday was psja memorial vs weslaco 1, and weslaco 1 vs weslaco east 1. they will be replayed next wednesday. i wish there were more teams in this league, too bad mercedes jumped ship at the last minute. anyway, it's still getting good over there. Why did we jump ship wp? |

supposedly the teams that were supposed to go to the east games were in some basketball thing, but then they show up on the list of teams for the super bowl. idk how that works out. i wouldn't have wanted to spend the money if i hadn't practiced.

well considering all the excitement the super bowl generated tonight, i'm sure my news won't bring about too much interest in this thread, but here goes anyway......no scores tonight, but i do got definite win/loss records
weslaco 1 vs weslaco east 1 = weslaco 1
progreso vs psja memorial = progreso
weslaco 2 vs weslaco east 2 = weslaco 2
weslaco east 1 vs progreso = progreso
weslaco 1 vs weslaco 2 = weslaco 1
weslaco east 1/2 vs psja memorial = psja memorial
sorry about the scores guys, but tonights games were pretty good. east was missing some guys and so was progreso. psja memorial came to play today as they gave progreso a great game and took down weslaco east's combined team. the weslaco high freshman finally put together a great game and took it to weslaco east's 2nd team. weslaco 1 is finally healthy heading into the final games of the summer. tournament play should start next week although it might be postponed until the following wednesday to allow for any makeup games.

after tonight's games the records are as follows ( i think)
progreso 6-0
weslaco 1 5-1
weslaco east 1 3-3
psja memorial 3-3
weslaco east 2 2-4
weslaco 1 1-5
idk if they're gonna count the games before the schedule changed if so, progreso has 2 more wins, east 1 has 1 win and 1 loss, psja memorial has 2 losses, east 2 has 2 more wins, and weslaco 2 has 2 more losses.....

technically it's a bit of both as some of the players on my team were moved up and then they moved themselves back with me........out of the 18 i have, 7 SHOULD be on the varsity this year. of course, that depends on them......
