And the dogs ended up being killed after they were "rescued" from Vick's dog pound of death. (a swanky house in the richest suburb in virginia.

IF and its a BIG if, everything goes favorable for Vick and he gets time off for being a good boy He'll be 28 as his first parole hearing ins in May of 2009. He'll have served his full term by december of next year.
But then its a question of his probationary status and whether or not holier than thou Goody two shoe Goodel will let him back into the NFL.

The problem with Vick coming back into the NFL isn't necessarily his criminal record, it's that he managed to unite just about every group (that hates each other) from the animal right's groups to the greens to big business to the religious right. It's pretty amazing considering even the worst dictator's on the planet couldn't do that. The NFL is driven by profit and profit only. Ticket sales are a very small part of the game. The sponsors will drive his possible employment.
Unless he does one of those "born again" conversions for animal rights, he won't be able to get a job at any company that has a corporate office. Woman beaters have had a better shot at getting back into the NFL and they have with the slightest of apologies.

I dont buy that. Some team could sign him for nothing and if he can still play, people will love him again.
If I were him though, I would do everything in my power to make the most of my second chance (assuming I get one) then I'll climb down from the top of the mountain wearing a coat made out of artic fox fur and Indonesian panda then raise both my middle finger to a back stabbing public that never did him any favors.

doesn't this just help him keep whatever money he has right now?? Not quite as easy as it was before WP... everyone that is not a company has to file for "chapter 13" thirteen does not allow you to keep anything outside of some waived artifacts... two cars, a house, can not be sold...ect... but pretty much everything else is fair game for the IRS and any debtors can go after... It was changed b/c so many ppl filed for bankruptcy and cheated the system under Chapter 7 or 8, where ppl would settle thier losses pay a ridiculous 10% owed or less and in most cases $0... and in seven years all debt would be discharged.... which means non exsistant... now under Ch13 they cant go after your house and two cars b/c ppl do need a place to live and a car to drive to work but everything else is sold reposesed and so forth... for example with Vick.... if he does not sell his milion dollar home... e everything inside of it (furniture) would get sold, you tend to have ppl (rich ppl) place alot of things in other ppls names... which i think is foolish... first of all... The IRS catches on... red flags pop up when a wealthy person has given more away than is under thier name... #2 would you trust some one with giving them something to hold (as in a title of a house)... then something goes wrong like it did to Vick, and expect the person to either sell the house and give you $$.... I dont think so,,,...

Vick is toast. He wasn't very likable before. Remember him talking about himself in the third person? He couldn't speak very well even without that stupid foible.
He'll definitely get gigs as an announcer for the crowd that thinks he was wronged because he is black.

thanks for the info lf. i think vick will get another shot with any team that needs a player like him. it doesn't matter where. he could probably get a job with any east coast team, despite the incident happening in virginia, and the team's ticket and merchandise sales would not suffer. he's a draw no matter which way you look at it. especially if he's playing receiver or rb. people are gonna go see him get lit up and in the mean time he's gonna be on the field making plays and helping his team win.

Too bad he isn't locked up in Texas, he could have been the starting QB for a prison football team. Here are Vick's cheerleaders:
