I could micromanage all the words, but we're not inder the Herald anymore. butt and damn are allowed. The big bad ones are not.

Out of all the sports stories in the last year I think the Vick one has been overblown and than any other.
I'm not denying that he did something very, very stupid but the public reaction to this was so mind boggling. They say the NBA has an image problem but its NFL players who are in the news every week for arrests ranging from DUIs, hit and runs, players violating the substance abuse policy. Players hit their wives fire guns at people in night clubs yet the public went apespit over killing a few dogs?
I know, I know dogs are the holy grail of pets blah blah. But come on, hasnt our reaction to mike vick far outweigh the actual crime?
Keep in mind that there was nothing wrong with Vick's game (at least his abilities) it was his actions off the field that put him in jail. I'd put a crisp 100 dollar bill saying that some team is going to give him a chance to play again.
