ee/wes would've been a good game but it hadn't been scheduled for a long time until coach v got here. i The last time they played was 98-99... come on WP, that wasn't THAT long ago. You remember going to that game when you were in jr. high. and weslaco WON that one ALSO! in your house i might add! |

i'll give you wes vs ee/donna, but not mercedes. mercedes was a boring game. the defense for weslaco has gotten better, so that would mean it'd be even more boring this time around. you know buzzy, i really don't remember that game. during those years i was on the sideline and i don't remember seeing EE. i'm pretty sure i'm wrong, but i just don't remember. 98-99 and coach v got here in 05, that would be 7 years or so. that's a while for 2 teams not to play each other. This one is very easy to explain..... Tony V wanted no part of it get handed to him by three Mid Valley teams... Tough talking Tony showed his true colors once Mishak wasn't around.... It is sad really because this would have provided Tony V the opportunity to really show what kind of coach he is. now he can lose to LF & SB beat the Browntown schools and provide Weslaco a playoff spot with a 7-3 record.  |

This was Tough Talking Tony before the EE game this past year.....my how things changed after Mishak.......

WOW. .  from my understanding weslaco was trying to schedule tough out of valley team! when weslaco and those teams couldnt come to terms with date/location. . weslaco was left scrambling to find teams at the last minute! dont get me wrong i see nothing wrong with the whole mid valley rivalry! its $$$ for both teams involved! i would like to see weslaco play ee.mer.donna. .every single year!! weslaco afraid of mercedes? cmon now i wont even go there.. . ee. .i can understand they want their revenge but it will have to wait! NOW donna is a schooll that weslaco will prob meet in the playoffs and it should be a good one! |

san antonio school (mac) or (madison)

u could even throw in callalen in the equation!!

that's true patron. weslaco's schedule was one of the last one's to be set because they had to find games to fill when they couldn't come to terms with those other schools. and eyeofthetiger, i'd like to hear what your coach has to say after alex is gone. i'm sure he won't be too excited about playing weslaco then. coach v was looking for better competition, not the same old boring mercedes team.

He will not have Alex after this year but he will stay face LF & PLC the following year, you make my point when you say our coach will not schedule hard teams after Alex because you pretty much admit that is what Tony V did. Our coach was man enough to schedule weslaco even knowing they had a special player in Mishak, he did not allow our kids to back down from a great challenge........ anybody can do it when you have a stud like mishak on your team, that made Weslaco a special team the last few years, its what you do without the same bullets that shows your true character |

it would've been worse this year for you guys. and the only reason your coach scheduled the game is because you guys had alex. had mercedes not had alex, the game wouldn't have happened. as it is it didn't really matter whether or not alex was there.

mercedes is going to play l.f and p.l.c next year also? did they sign a 2-year contract or what?? i didnt realize u could schedule ur teams two years in advance??? do u have to pay a $400 contract termination fee if u back out? .. seriously tho. . are u really playing them next year? or your HOPING to play them again next year? |
