Why did Wes do that in the first place? i wonder why?? IDK. I know alot of panther fans are also questioning the coaches decision as well Thank you lennox.. you're one of the few Wes fans to admit it. If this would have been done in the first place, i'm sure people would be teasing you guys so much about it. |

Man I wanted to rekindle the WAR between La Joya and Mission. I thought for sure we had them back in our schedule right up until realignment. But then our coaches shoot for SA MacCollum instead of the huge rivalry game.
La Joya / Mission was really special and should've been started up again.

Somehow that one doesn't seem to have the AWE factor. Is there any history between the two schools at all? Maybe you can sell it by saying Mercedes Offense/San Benito Defense!! |

Anybody north of san antonio. You can only get better if you play against better teams. Although, playing P.I, EE and Mchi is GREAT with me. Those teams will only make harlingen better players. IMO.

Harlingen,CC West Oso,EE, the only team i can say i would want to add would be Los Fresnos and that would make the perfect pre-season schedule for PI

donna. i could care less about ee and mercedes. mercedes has no defense and no line. sure the qb can throw and you have a good back, but they'd never get anywhere without a line........ee/wes would've been a good game but it hadn't been scheduled for a long time until coach v got here. i don't see why it has to become a game they have to schedule every year. there were some better opponents out there than the one's we got this year, but the panthers were looking for northern teams, came up short when nobody would schedule them and got stuck with this schedule. the only one i wish would've been scheduled was the donna game.

ee/wes would've been a good game but it hadn't been scheduled for a long time until coach v got here. i The last time they played was 98-99... come on WP, that wasn't THAT long ago. You remember going to that game when you were in jr. high. |

These mid-valley games wes vs don, wes vs e-e & wes vs mer would've been great. They always have great crowds and the atmosphere is awesome during these games. I wonder how long it will be until they play each other again in the regular season?

i'll give you wes vs ee/donna, but not mercedes. mercedes was a boring game. the defense for weslaco has gotten better, so that would mean it'd be even more boring this time around. you know buzzy, i really don't remember that game. during those years i was on the sideline and i don't remember seeing EE. i'm pretty sure i'm wrong, but i just don't remember. 98-99 and coach v got here in 05, that would be 7 years or so. that's a while for 2 teams not to play each other.

Why would you say it would be a boring game w/ mercedes? I'm talking about this year, not last. You all don't have Mishak anymore, if I remember correctly didn't he manhandle mercedes by himself? He wont be there this year, so I would say it would be a nice game to see, that's all.
