Alright so i just acquired some new software....
but ...i am really out of my comfort zone now..lol
ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 3.3 MASTER COLLECTION....lots of programs ..lots of extras...and im a bit overwhelmed lol
anyone know any nifty tricks...or what program is ideal for what...etc

yeha i have the same problem with windows vista thats why im still running on XP

vista sux, but good luck buying a new computer without getting vista. i'm barely starting to get used to it. in the end it's the same. the widgets bar on the side is lame. they didn't do anything but change some of the menu's on xp and call it vista. except xp actually worked.

I don't think I've met or heard of anyone who likes vista. Well, other than Bill Gates.
I've heard it's a memory hog at the very least and that alone bothers me .

I don't think I've met or heard of anyone who likes vista. Well, other than Bill Gates. I've heard it's a memory hog at the very least and that alone bothers me . I don't like it either... but it's the future of technology--a more visually attractive operating system. We've trusted Bill Gates so far and he's led us into the 21st century. He was a pioneer when he first started in the basement of his home (maybe i'm thinking of the apple guy), and he is still a pioneer today. Besides, what's the purposing having a computer that has a massive amount of RAM and a processor speed up the wazzoo if you aren't going to ever REAL use it (sorry boys, having MS Word open, while listening to music, while downloading with 5 IE tabs is not maxing out your new system). |

I bought my labtop from the DELL website about 8 months ago... Everything they offered as equipped w/ Vista... except for the business class LATITUDE labtops. Guess what I bought! |

I just remember hearing that one of those two guys started their business from the ground up from the basement/garage. (I'm leaning more to it being the founder of Apple rather that Bill Gates... not sure though). |

i just bought a new lappy about a month ago....
vista home premium .... 4 gigs of ram....140 gig hard drive ...13.3 in screen... intel core 2 duo....and its working pretty good so far... impressively so..
no complaints here....i know alot of people hated vista cuz they were buying computers with only 512 ram...and trying to run vista...DUMB!...dont be a tight wad....lol performance costs...

very true guy. but i got 2 gb of RAM. i know it's not a huge amount but 2 gb's should be good enough to run vista. i guess i like xp more just because i was used to it. i hear that they're going to dump vista for a new OS. anyone know anything about this? oh yeah, vista sux.

Vista blows worse than OS X. The last computer I bought, I formatted the HDD and installed XP.
