Now that's funnier than all our football teams records COMBINED!!!!! LOL!! No whats funnier now is that my post got you that riled up, and you have to turn to name calling. lobo, if i'm not mistaken, didn't weslaco's basketball team win more games even after having to forfeit than all the brownsville schools did in football combined? if not, i know it was close.

Yeah, Weslaco does pretty good in the summer tournaments, until they run into McHi.

I saw LF play in the Slam N Jam tourney here in Brownsville this past weekend and they looked really good V. the Hanna team. LF just moved up in my rankings recently. Weslaco has that one tall guy that was from Mexico and he isnt that good. He's alright. Shoots too much for a post. He shoots well but too much.

Shoots good for a big good but not as good as a decent shooting guard. So now if he shoots the ball thats one less big guy on the boards....get me???

Well a good shooter misses more than he makes the basket. And thats a good shooter even a great shooter will miss more thn he makes. Still got to have a big boy down low. It tough to win games when you lose the boards game.

your right lobo, but how many times is a big guy really gonna find himself with an opportunity to take a jump shot unless the coach designs his offense like that? if anyone is to blame in that situation it's the coach, but if the ball goes in the basket who cares? if it doesn't go in then you hope that the offense has been designed well enough that the big man who took the shot will have a chance to follow it, or another player on the team will be in position to grab the board for a put-back. of course, if you're playing a team that runs zone, then my logic is out the window.....
