a 100% federal health care system is dumb......most people who really need it already get medicare/medicaid/chips etc. turning it into a government business would ruin it.....

in these past few days i've been leaning towards obama simply because mccain has been a no-show. i haven't seen him anywhere......i don't like the democratic ideas, well most of them anyway. the government has managed our money poorly in the past and now if the democrat takes the head job, they're gonna demand more of our money. we need to start pushing a mexican candidate for the next election......maybe the mexicans can get it right......well the american mexicans anyway

Who ever wrote that piece is obviously a Dem or a Liberal. Although I do agree that a large majority of blacks who vote for Obama is because of the fact that he is black and I'am sure that there is a certain percentage of white people that will not vote for him because he is black. To me it shouldn't be based on race but rather on their qualifications. Obviously McCain is better qualified compared to the younger Obama. In the end it will be up to the American voters.

Controversial question, but what the heck! If Obama is half white and half black, why is he considered black? I mean, according to his mother's heritage and his upbringing, he could just as easily be labeled white. Is it because of that "one drop rule?"

Most, including me, could care less if he's black or female or what ever. His associations with some less than America loving people and his few political stances are what scare me.

I'm hoping Senator Obama will start defining himself soon. At this point, he's the American Idol candidate. I'm not comfortable with that. We are a country that was defined by individuals who made jobs by virtue of creating businesses. Currently, taxes are for what you wanting to remove or reduce, i.e. tobacco. Again, when the income tax was first passed, it was promised it would never be greater than 2%. Ireland, China, and most of Europe are donating tons of money for Obama to be elected just for his stance on corporate taxes. They aren't donating for our benefit.

None of us are rich. Wealth envy shouldn't be a deciding point on who will determine the future and defense of the land where people from across the globe struggle and die for to travel to make a home.
