High school football games are fun to be at, but obviously things can get heated at times with fans. Just wondering what you all's worst experience with fans at a game were, whether they were opposing fans, or even fans on your team. Or some that you've witnessed.
Can't pinpoint one worst time but have encountered several. One was during a Mission/La Joya game during the 90's when the rivalry was heated and witnessed a kid who couldn't have been older than 7 years old giving the finger to some Mission fans.
Another one(sadly one of our fans) cheering during Mission/Edinburg North game in '96 when EN's running back Orly Montalvo was injured. Was embarrassing but fortunately for Montalvo he got up and continued playing. Incidentally, those fans were all in the student section.
Finally, Mission fans used to take these huge air horns to the games during the Detmer years of the early 90s to rev up the fans. Was cool to hear and see them lead the fans, ..until you sit right behind those air horns and have them blasting loudly. Keep in mind they used to take them in the stands, not outside the stadium, until they were banned several years later. Went home deaf a couple of times.

LJ not having their visitor concession stands open during a playoff game where they hosted the Cardinals...LOL MAN that sucked....And @ a battle of the arroyo game held at boggus few years ago, SB fans getting into it with our junior high students...security cleared out the entire endzone bleacher sitting area during the game.

I remember when SR was in 32-3A and our biggest rival was La Feria. I remember fights on school campus during the games and our buses getting either egged or rocks thrown at us on our way in and out of La Feria. Our coaches would make us wear our helmets as we were coming and leaving. SR fans were just as bad when LF traveled to our stadium. Ahhh the memories.

I went to the Memorial playoff game in 94 at San Benito and got all 4 of my hubcaps jacked. I'm still trying to crack the case, lol.

1999 weslaco game. i can't remember who they were playing but there was a gang fight right outside the stadium......a lot of people got hit in the parking lots on the way to their cars away from the fight....they were all over the place...the cops managed to chase the gang members away from the stadium, but the damage had already been done to people and their cars......

The last game played by LJ/Mission. TD gets called back by the refs as Mission pulled out the victory in that last play of the game. Refs calling it back caused the crowd in Mission to get REALLY HOT UNDER THE COLLAR as the LJ fanatics go into a frenzy. I knew the walk back to the parking lots was gonna be ugly. And it was, saw fights everywhere and people swinging at each other with 2X4's and the sirens everywhere. The bad call was bad enough to end this rivalry, but the scene after the game was horrid.

Gang members @ a football game? Don't they have "cooler" things to do? they weren't at the game, that's just where the fight happened. i think it started at the kmart, well it used to be kmart, and then ended up in the parking lot at panther stadium, then back at the kmart and the theatre.....

If there's one thing I don't like in Boggus Stadium;it's those kids who purchase tickets when the Birdbowl is hosted & they are just walking around during the game & causing scenes with other students(I assume gang related).
The fact that the tickets are sold out & realize those kids are just walking around is irritating...
They're basicilly those people who do not show up the entire season & only for this game. ppffft

EE at Mercedes. EE fans waiting in line to get in and the Jackets drive up in the school bus and some A$$ clown from the quarterback club announces over the mic while grilling fajitas all koky thinking they're the Texas Longhorns, "Ya llegaron los pichones!!" This was this past time in Mercedes. Little did they know they were about to get owned...again. Then of course again, in Mercedes, after beating the Tigers at their house there is always and I mean always the barrio kids throwing rocks at the passing cars if they sounded their horns in celebration. Getting out of that barrio is fun cuz when I make a u turn and confront these punk chavalas, they all scatter like kokroaches , pretty funny if you ask me. This last time a kid no older than 10 years old ran behind my car following me all the way to the expressway. lol No tienen mas que hacer.

LOL...went to a mercedes ee game and still remember the QB club crying to the refs cause the jackets players werent coming out of the helmet first, some even went as far as taunting the EE fans/players with a 'choke' signal...and i dk who the announcer was but even he talked a lil smack...and mercedes wound up getting owned.

That QB club walk around like as if they are really part of the game and by the way they strut you'd think they were part of the Tx Longhorns coaching staff. lol
