That was one hell of a storm. Some of us were without power and some of us were inundated with water. Yet we were all here watching out for each other. Yall's thought's.

I felt very vulnerable. With all of our modern conveniences/advances it is still very humbling to realize once again that we are after all just human and in the end must put our faith in God and pray that he will pull us through in time of turbulance.

Florida just experienced what many in the valley went through...even though it was a category 1 hurricane, it has resulted in numerous deaths..more than 10 if I'm not mistaken. I think he's reflecting on Dolly, and you're right Double R...it ain't over yet.

I'll confess. It shook me up thinking of how to make sure mine were taken care of. I've always been a little bit of a survivalist nut. I learned where my weaknesses are and we were ok. I helped others just a bit. My kids and nephews and in-laws helped for days. I wish everyone thought in terms of 3-7 days of supplies. It would take a lot of pressure off when things like this happen.

we're just now running out of stuff that we bought for the storm. we were good to go for about 2 weeks over here. having been through a big storm already i knew that getting power and other basic services up could take some time so we were ready. i just wish that people would try to prepare a little better. a lot of the time, from what i've come to know, the people who die, don't die during the storm, but in the aftermath when they run out of water or food and don't have a way to get out of their homes.....
