So the word is that he will name the lucky person perhaps tomorrow.
Any thoughts or predictions on who it might be?
Does anyone care?

To win the Presidency by a landslide, he would have to pick Clinton.
I don't think he would do that.
Biden will be picked in my opinion.

2 schools of thoughts. I was talking to a staunch Valley Democrat (my dad) and he was saying that if Obama wants to win this he needs to do it on his own and not pick HRC since she could potentially overshadow him. Then there is the other school that if he doesnt pick her, he risks losing votes from within his own party. Very interesting scenario.
My guess is that he picks Geraldine Ferraro, lol.

I would not pick HRC, because I do not think he could control her or Bill.......
He will choose Biden....
Just think we could have had Bill for another 4-8 years had HRC won....lol

I just saw that 20% of Hillary's backers will now vote for McCain!?!
That's messed up!
Obama and HRC views were ALMOST identical, but they now want to go Repulican?

I've heard similar stuff like that too. This is going to be a very interesting election and it just may come down to who each one picks as their VP.

Clinton and Biden carry much of the same baggage. If Biden ran, McCain would only have to use Biden's own quotes about Obama to win the election.
It's a tough call. If he uses one of the well entrenched politicians, they have tons of baggage. If he goes with a newer face like either of the governors of Kansas or Virginia, they risk being labeled the rookie ticket. Like him they both would have very little experience and could risk the label of "rookie ticket."
McCain has much the same problem but for very opposite reasons.

Yes and most of those Hillary backers are pissed off that she didn't make it so now they will vote Republican. Does that make any sense? You'd figure if your Democrate you'd stick to your guns?

He won't pick Hillary. Him and Bill have some bad blood and he wouldn't want him anywhere near the Oval Office. Besides, one poll has or had her at have 40-50% of voters absolutely not voting for her.

Furthermore, like others said, he has too much baggage an no pizzazz! Also, if people didn't want him before when he ran for president, why would they want him now when he is just a hearbeat away from being the "Chief?"

Furthermore, like others said, he has too much baggage an no pizzazz! Also, if people didn't want him before when he ran for president, why would they want him now when he is just a hearbeat away from being the "Chief?" American voters don't vote for experience, they vote for "looks","who you can have a beer with, "pro-choice or not", etc. etc. The American Voter don't vote for experience ONE BIT. Look at Georgie boy ("he's like me ", is what most voters would see), Arnold (ah, a movie star), Reagan (ah, a movie star! (a darn good Republican)), Clinton (smooth), Carter (aw, he looks like my grandpa) What's happened here, is that the whole "experience" argument holds no merit after georgie boy (rookie) and cheney (experienced) put us through. Let's not forget, georgie boy smeared a POW war hero in 2000....that's right. Do a little research on what georgie did to McCaine. It makes me sick to my stomach. Where was the whole argument about 'ready to lead'. bushie was the LEAST experienced of them all, and McCain was left out to dry. They should be ashamed of themselves. It's true, the majority of American voters are not that bright. You can be decisive without being divisive.

We should have known then when Dubya threw McCain under the bus, that he was shady. However I did vote for him but looking back at his presidency, I think he may be labled as one of the worst presidents ever.
