In 2006, this scrimmage showed that both teams were going to have a great offense.

Actually it was 5-2

During the 25 plays for each team scenario, Memorial's 1st team Offense scored once on the LF '1st' team defense.

On Memorials first 25 plays with their 1st team O, the Falcons 1st team Defense was pulled from the field. (Actually, Martinez and Mendez were not on the field so I'm assuming the 1st team defense was taken on off.)

The rest was on the 2nd team Defense.

It was really weird seeing Memorial score at will. During that part of the scrimmage.

Now, if you saw the 2 quarters of play (cut down to one, I think I know why), you saw a LF team that pounded and moved the ball with ease.

In the ONE quarter of play (after announcer had announced MANY times that there was going to be 2 quarters), the Falcons drove 80 yards twice using passing and running and the Mem 1st team defense looked silly.

LF 1st possession, 8 play TD run by Silva (chewed the clock)

Mem 1st possession:
On offense, GREAT play the Memorial used (QB bootleg sweep type of play) allowed them to move past the 50 yard line once, only to get stopped by the Falcon D. Falcons took over on downs.

LF 2nd possession, had to drive 80 yards in 2 min. TD by Silva.

Mem 2nd possession. INT by the LF Defense.


At that point, coaches agreed to only 1 Q.

It was ugly.
