I won't be able to make this scrimmage, I will be out-of-town. If someone one can please, pretty please, put up some clips/vids for me to see. I should have access to a computer.

Well another week just puts both teams in a more ready or at least polished phase. PI had a few problems starting due to Dolly but still managed to start as usual. Hope Trevino gets well and Diego as well on the PI side. If still hurting best is not to use them those are good starting players. I was thinking how back in my day scrimmages were just another practice day. The hype from fans and media on starting the season has put a lot more emphasis on the scrimmages which I feel is good in that it pumps the players to be on a competitive play form even in scrimmages even though of course there is no full game element.
I was thinking it might eventually go into preseason game form since the media is using win and lose as if it is a game. I wonder if that would ever be possible or acceptable of UIL. Maybe with the top teams withing district or comparable scrimmaging opponents it might be possible. However it would have to take a different look in that you would be testing all players. so maybe similar to the Preseason NFL games with a little less of a full game win loss goal.
This will be interesting if Trevino plays since his speed would test PI and get ready for the West Oso game who I hear WO has some speed in the backfield. They also have some size as well on the line.

If I can't make the E-E vs GP scrimmage, I might just make it out to this one.

I still feel that PI has not shown much speed yet. Hope as things develope I will be proven wrong. Joe Vega does show that his skills were effective even with that Harlingen quick/fast defense without much speed as he did in the JV last year. That was a good sign, but also DeMoss was showing some skills. And the upcoming JV will start separating the men from the boys as this progresses.
I feel Mercedes can play up as they showed against Calallen last year. If they do PI might be in for a long scrimmage. What I hear from PI relatives is that PI will be doing fine. So that is also good news. However we will just have to wait and see.

With or without AT it should be a good scrimmage, help the two teams prep for Week 0. I would agree two years ago AT torched PI for about 5 scores but last year, Izzy did most of the damage.... With or without this should be a good scrimmage for both teams...
