while I agree w/ you about alvarado, what the heck are you talking about alex struggling in big games? Which one? I think he did pretty good last year against Weslaco, did well against East, great job against Cal. they only game that come to mind is EE, but i can't really blame him for that one. The coach tried a one man show that failed during that game. EE was good to try to win w/out a legit qb in our back field. But to say he struggles in big games is way off. A little more explanation to your reasoning might help me understand where you're coming from. they weren't his usual games. he was just an average running back against weslaco. the coach tried the same strategy against weslaco that he did against EE early on. like i said, that's not his fault, it's his coaches fault. You said he struggles in big games. I ask again which one? Average against weslaco? If im not mistaken, he did get over 100 yrds and score 3 times. Once again i ask..... what are you talking about? PLEASE DONT GET ME WRONG and think i'm saying he's the greatest back in the world and this or that. That's not what i'm saying at all. I just dont get your reasoning behind saying he struggles in big games and then come back around and those weren't his usual games. That doesn't make sense. Those games i mentioned were probably the biggest games last year. I'm still confused by your statements. could you please clarify?

i thought he averaged more than that is all redfish, no need to get all excited. did he get 3 scores that game? i don't remember him getting in the endzone that much on the ground or from passes. he might get a lot of receiving yards but he doesn't get them on the ground as much. i was just too lazy to look up the stats, but i know he didn't have that great a game against weslaco

I personally think he's not used to his potential, but i'm not the coach and don't want to be one (ok i do, but rather not give up my income ), but the guy is an above average rb. NOT the greatest back we've ever seen (mishak takes that title by a mile), but better than average. You make it seem like he's replaceable by any joe out there.

no, but i was talking about rush yards. did he really get those stats in the weslaco game? were they all-purpose yards? i just don't remember him being in the endzone that much.

yes he was in the endzone;as a matter of fact he was in the enzone three times; had over 100 rushing yards; the guys good and is always a threat. in both games he has found the enzone.

I agree with Eye,Alex will not get the yards he should get cause Mercedes spreads the ball evenly among its O.Hope he gets the ball more often,I've noticed the more he gets the ball the better he gets.

ill say...he busts out a 50+ yard run on the first play at the scrimmage at GP. Got a little roughed up in the beginning and was taken out by the coaching staff as a precaution....

I love big plays on the first snap. Harlingen a few years ago used to run a slip screen on the first play and it seemed liked it always resulted in a TD. Our RB Pablo had over 150 yds on less than ten carriers...
