Here's a quote from my mom about me. My parents were missionaries in Mexico and so my mom had to write monthly newsletters for the churches that supported them. Here are my mom's words: "We hear so much about abortion these days, and recently I was thinking more about this. When we had three children, ages 12, 9 and 8, I learned that I was pregnant again, and I definitely was not happy with the situation. We had just moved . [My husband] was not perturbed, in fact, he seemed to think it was pretty neat -- and I confess, I wept a few times over the prospect of a new baby coming. "This past Christmas, this uninvited child came home from college to visit us. Tall, handsome, intelligent, athletic, musical, witty and clever. He's had two and a half years in pre-med studies and is now in Bible college. He sings in several music groups, has trophies in sports and knows thousands of plant, animal and bird life by their scientific names. For exams he scarcely has to study -- remembers nearly everything he reads. And I, his mother, have been ashamed of those tears I shed when his coming was announced. Why, if I'd known WHO was coming, I'd have baked a cake! When I think of all the pros and cons the subject of abortion has brought up in recent years, what if I could have been brainwashed into thinking that an abortion may have solved what I thought was a problem? The very thought fills me with horror. God has blessed our lives so richly through our five children and we continue to be blessed by their faithful Christian lives and influence. Each one is a living testimony of God's power and greatness. We're so thankful for them."
For those of you on the fence, just think back at how good a life you have. What if . . . you had been aborted? Sobering thoughts from my mom.+1000 That was a beautiful piece by your mom dude. Hold on to that forever.

These are my 2 cents. I don't agree with it however I believe there are certain exceptions where it may be considered primarily in the case where the mother's life is at risk, rape or incest but other than that, I feel its a selfish move for someone to do it just because they do not want to the responsible of their actions or for taking care of another human being.
However as a man of faith, I also believe there is a God and he has given us free agency, to make our decisions. Now while I dont necessarily agree with the practice, I am not one of these hard core pro-life people cause if a woman wants to have one, she has that right under the laws of this country. But i believe there are a higher set of laws and on those laws, our lives will be judged. Now I can't speack for God but its hard for me to believe that this practice is something he would approve of. We'll see one day.

Yep I'am against it because it's just wrong. My opinion has nothing to do with religion. I just strongly believe that it's wrong.

It's interesting that most are against it in principle. It is the special interest groups that have put so much money in promoting the "choice" argument. I still haven't figured out why those that promote the "choice" argument will not allow that same choice to be given to the least able to defend themselves.
There's a guy running for president that is against a law mandating care to babies that survive late term induced abortions. His position moderated lately but, he doesn't want one of his kids punished with a baby.

when i heard my daughter was coming i was a little excited but also very scared at how much my life was gonna change. her mom and i had talked about having kids, but not at 21. then we found out that there might be problems with both of them making it through healthy from the birth. early in the pregnancy the doctor said there would be a choice to make in the end. abort or risk losing one or both of them. i must say that i considered it for awhile, but ultimately we chose to "risk" it and go ahead with it. a decision i'm happy we made. i'm not against it because of what it brings. even in your darkest days, a child will always bring some light to your situation.

Iam glad both of you made the right choice wp and I agree with your last sentence. I got two kids and when it fells like the entire world just fell on me, I get home and my kiddo's make me smile.
