I still see it as a human rights issue. Not a religious issue. I can see why it is considered a religious issue since most believe that the unborn child hasn't been given the opportunity to commit sin or crime.
That said, the unborn child is given fewer rights than the rapists/murderers that sit on death row. If the unborn were given even the briefest of time for a trial, they would be toddlers by the time the of the first trial date.

a good way to look at it is put yourself in that baby's position. would you want your parents to have aborted you? you would've never been able to experience life, all the beauty. all the ups and downs, its a precious gift. because we all live only 1 life on this earth and THATS IT. you are taking away the only chance that baby has at living a life on this earth.

a good way to look at it is put yourself in that baby's position. would you want your parents to have aborted you? you would've never been able to experience life, all the beauty. all the ups and downs, its a precious gift. because we all live only 1 life on this earth and THATS IT. you are taking away the only chance that baby has at living a life on this earth. again this is not a black and white issue.... the technology exists..now im not saying this should be used as a form of birth control...i mean the government already has limitations in place to make both liberals and conservatives happy.... at least i thought... BUT in the end...its not up to you or me or the 40 something right wing nutcase...its up to the woman... its her body...its her CHOICE! cue the immature rant of how "she already made her choice by having sex ...blahblahblah" lol anywho.. check this out video..lol thought it was freaking awesome...now it does contain foul language .... |

I held your position many many moons ago.
You are correct on the technology argument. Babies have been rescued extremely early in pregnancy lately. Makes me wonder why you don't argue for their rights?

i think we're talking about abortion in general...not the relationship aspect...
my main gripe with the prolife people is...well theyre so quick to just say NO!! and not take anything else into consideration...like the different circumstances you cant rule out...no matter how much of a religious nutbag one is...i mean what about rape, health, mental health, socioecomic factors, and/or fetal defects....its just plain ignorant and irresponsible to be so black and white about such an important issue... but hey maybe thats just the logical side of my brain going off again...ohh well
