i'm serious lemon. they have 3 guys that will run past just about anyone. one i believe is a rb and the other two play receiver. the two receivers have got to be over 6'2". the qb can get it to whoever he wants wherever he wants. i was impressed by their skill guys. if they have a good front line on both sides of the ball the skill guys will take care of the rest well ur talking about RB Juan Vega who had over 1,300 yards. they dont have the same qb as last year if that is what ur implying. I tried to give Progresso credit but this district is just to darn tough

Roger Garcia is back at EE, IMO that drops Lyford from the 3 spot to 5th... though they will put some #s mostly from the two 2A schools and Monterrey La Prepa - Mexico considering the 32-3A defenses will be tougher than in 31-3A

.....of course, that was without a rush, and if the progreso line doesn't hold up you won't get to see his skills, but if they give him some time he's gonna make some teams pay

if they have a line, 4th, maybe 3rd......they won't beat pi or rh, but it'll be a good game

1990 was the only year i remember Progreso was a contender, unfortunately, i think they will be last again. I wish them luck though.

Didn't they have a good team in '00 or '01 with Jesus Ortega...and they finished 5th??

I have to agree also that you can't count out Progreso just because they're Progreso. They had a pretty decent team last year. Heck, they beat Mission a class 4A club.

Though it was an impressive win over Mission at the time... Here is how they did that same year against the district last year
Pro. vs RH 0 - 28 Pro. vs PI 3 - 28 Pro. vs LF 7 - 50 Pro. vs Hid 0 - 35
They did have 4 wins in 2007 including the Mission win, so i could see why football fans of other districts see the potential, but...
Progreso is actually winless (0-39) against the other 32-3A district teams since 2000.
The one game i think they can win though is against Hidalgo which lost tons of players.
