I THINK LOPEZ OR RIVERA HAVE THE BEST CHANCE TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. HANNA DOES NOT HAVE ANY HELP FROM THE COACHING STAFF, THEY LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF JUNIOR HIGH COACHES, OK THEY HAVE CHAVEZ....BUT HES WON, WHAT 4 GAMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS?? THEY WILL BE AT THE BOTTOM. PORTER HAS NO CHANCE VALDEZ IS RUNNING THE PROGRAM LIKE A 3A SCHOOL (LA FERIA) FUNNY THING IS IF THEY WERE IN THE 3A DISTRICT, PI RH,RAY, HIDALGO, AND LA FERIA WOULD PROBABLY SCORE 40 ON THEM!!!!! PACE ON THE OTHER HAND IS A SLEEPER, THERE NUMBERS ARE UP FROM LAST YEAR, KIDS GETTING BIGGER BUT NOT SURE IF THE CAN HANDLE LOPEZ OR RIVERA. BUT WE WILL FIND OUT IN 10 WEEKS WHAT BISD SCHOLL WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, SAD THING IS THEY MIGHT MAKE IT WITH A 3-7 RECORD, AND YET AGAIN SAN BENITO WESLACO, AND LOS FRESNOS WILL ALL SHARE THE BROWNSVILLE CITY CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN............

DOES ANYONE REALLY THINK THAT THESE COACHES ARE GOING TO STAY FOR YEARS TO COME? VALDEZ HAS BEEN TRYING TO GO TO SAN ANTONIO FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTH BECAUSE OF HIS DAUGHTER GOING TO SCHOOL IN SA. CHAVEZ LOOKS AND ACTS LIKE IS GOING TO RETIRE SOON. MEDRANO WANTS TO GO BACK TO HARLINGEN, HELMS MIGHT GO TO SAN BENITO IF MARIO PENA LEAVES AT THE END OF THE SEASON. SO FOR ALL WE KNOW THERE COULD BE A POSSIBILITY OF HAVING 2-4 OPENING AT THE END OF THE SEASON, THEN HERE WE GO ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

Lopez has the only consistent coaching staff and PAce as well and as you can see they have been the teams that go to the playoffs in the past 4-5 years. Coaching changes really hurts these Brownsville teams....I think the youth football programs going on here are going to help out Brownsville football in the future, but the 6th HS will defintley not! Wish we had only 3 schools but just expand the size of each school. Cant they just do that??? Football would be alot funner and waaay better had that happened

after that, honestly I have no idea...

and i believe the American Legion asked for it to be named Veterans Memorial...
I don't have a problem with the school being named something patriotic, but can they at least make it a little more original?
